If you’re an upcoming artist and feel as though everyone’s hitting you up for money to help your career (i.e.- showcases), your not alone. According to an article this week in The Wall Street Journal, the NFL is reportedly asking some acts to “contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league.” The piece states that a list of potential performers for next year’s huge event includes “Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Coldplay.” It will be interesting to see if more comes out on this, including if previous artists have paid to play.
