Black Violin is a classically trained duo that are bringing the spirit of original Hip Hop back to life. Breaking barriers has been inherent to Hip Hop since its inception. The forefathers of the sound tapped a broad landscape of genres when creating music. “Planet Rock’s” use of Euro-elektro sounds, “Rock Box” with it’s hard rock lead guitars, and “Apache’s” use of a classic funk break are just a few examples of how eclectic Hip Hop was from its start. Decades later, Black Violin help pick up the tradition.
