Hip Hop spotlight- Renegade Foxxx Q & A

Can you talk about what makes you unique as an artist?

I see myself as an entertainer. To me there’s a difference. I like to have fun. I’m 251 lbs. I know I keep mean faces in my pictures, but I’m truly all about jokes. I’ve learned not to take stuff too seriously with this industry. My job is very easy- to keep you laughing. As long as people can enjoy what I do and say, then the music is just the cherry on top. In order to support someone you have to love someone- damn, that sounds like a damn fortune cookie.

Please discuss your current release?

Just released the warm up record “Bang Bang.” It’s a fun record produced by Soul Diggaz-expensive producers. I just really like the record when I heard it, didn’t like the price, but you get what you pay for.

Your music has a party vibe, can you talk a bit about the place of “fun” music in Hip Hop?

It’s time to let go of the bullsh*t thug talk- to be truthful, they are all lying- notice everyone’s a killa. That’s why our kids are having so much of a hard time trying to survive. If they shot someone they are going to get time, but the pressure of being hard on the streets is too much for them. 50 came out hard as hell- great album, and the marketing on that project was incredible, but that (type of) marketing can’t survive nowadays, because society will not let that killa talk run through their kids. We can keep the kids dancing without the bullsh*t.

How do you look at radio play and other activitites in regards to building awareness?

It’s the Bible of the music world. If the kids can’t hear it, they can’t buy it. H.S.R.B is the formula. They hear it, see it, read it, buy it! It starts with my brothers The Wonder Twinz- two of the craziest cats I ever met. I’m a dude that never forgets who’s real. Then radio, then Internet, just learned Twitter, and now I’m working on a crazy video.

What have been some of the biggest hurdles for you as an entrepreneur?

Being very patient. I’m a dude that likes it now, right now. Kool DJ Red Alert taught me this business. And, Wendy Williams (taught me) patience and watching is key. I needed to stay in my lane until I was able to pass; which is right now. I’m passing these cats’ in a mini, when I use to try and pass in my Ferarri. It don’t matter how fast you get there, just make sure you get there.
