Insomniac Magazine Sends Condolences To Underground Legend Sean Price (R.I.P.)

After hearing the news this morning, it’s still taken us several hours to process the passing of underground lyrical genius, Sean Price. The Brooklyn native died in his sleep at the age of 43, but never slept on the mic! Whether serving up mind-bending bars of destruction with Heltah Skeltah, Boot Camp Clik or Random Axe, Sean always served up the hits. Insomniac was the first magazine to feature Sean(and the rest of the Duck Down crew)as a cover story & we were amazed by the growth & strides he made as an artist throughout the years. He was one of the kings of our Weekly Top Ten & even blasted us on Twitter when one of his guest features landed at #8. Knowing Sean, we just laughed it off & agreed that any material he put out should be forever enshrined in the Top 5. With a new project to be released August 21st(Songs In The Key Of Price), there’s still more Sean Price material in our future. We know each track will contain the emcee’s unstoppable energy, wit, and flawless delivery…Yet, no matter how great the music turns out to be, we’ll still miss the presence of the gifted artist behind its creation. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. R.I.P. Sean. You will ALWAYS be remembered!
