1) JOELL ORTIZ rips into a HeatMakerz laced slice of sonic destruction…and “God Forbid” all those who step in his path!!! It’s Yaowa Nation ALL DAY as the mic sentinel smacks up the track & slaughters the Boom Bap banger with such raw intensity you’ll kneel in front of your speakers in deference to the rap god! REAL RAP never left! Joell Ortiz gives it everything he’s got!!!
2) SILVTHADON & STYLES P team up on a Pete Rock crafted masterpiece as they “Live & Let Die” with a heater for the streets! Incorporating reggae chatting, raw rhymes, and the famous Paul McCartney “James Bond” track, the joint delivers in every sense of the word! It’s that ruthless, sinister s**t that doesn’t just make you feel like you’re on top of the world…it makes you feel like you OWN IT!!! The killers are on the loose. Watch the body count continue to rise!
3) RUSTE JUXX x VSTHEBEST add their own spin to Biggie’s classic “Unbelievable” banger & create an infectious head nodding gem in the process! Energy spills out of the speakers as Ruste keeps listeners amped with lyrical excitement over the gloriously funky joint. It’s unbelievable how dope these guys are…but we heard the track, so accept it as FACT!
4) ALIANO & JAKK WONDERS deliver another home run for “The Home Team!” The power duo never strike out in the game of Hip Hop(which is why top shelf beats & rhymes dominate their entire catalog). Other artists TRY to create dope music…but fail miserably. Let the pros put in the work while you wannabes go back to bed. Dream about a different career. Aliano & Jakk Wonders will kindly tuck you in!
5) If we had to describe brilliance with one track, the first name that pops up in our mind is TOKEN’s “New Problems.” Over Jon Glass & J57’s monumental production, the rising super spitter expertly breaks down the trials & tribulations that come with fame…including groupie love gone horribly wrong, shady business dealings, and the growing divide between friends & family who view his celebrity status with a mix of jealousy & trepidation. The incredible video co-directed with Ben Proulx only adds to the angst. The rhyme slayer wants to run away & escape…but the money keeps pulling him back in! Token shoots for the stars & connects on every level. He packs an emotional punch that turn his new problems into a sonic delight for the fans!
6) BLAK MADEEN are living’ thru this prophecy by envisioning & delivering a new power joint called “The Sum Up.” Al-J & Yusuf Abdul Mateen pour out their collective heart & soul into The Arcitype laced instrumental that’s further finessed with dope cuts from DJ Slipwax. Listen to the precious jewels they’re dropping & experience the MysterDL directed clip below!
7) JUS-P continues to deliver higher level “SupaFriendz 2” entertainment. This time he enlists HELL RAZAH, MERC VERSUS & ANTHAI for a track paved with sonic heat called “Concrete Survival.” The soulful soundscape motivates the emcees to go for broke & catch serious wreck! The survival of Hip Hop depends on them. We can rest easy KNOWING we’re in good hands!
8) ICEROCKSDXA leads an all out audio attack by lacing CALAMITY, SPIT GEMZ & SICWITDAPEN with powerfully solid Boom Bap production on “3 Eyes Closed!” The lyrical assassins take hold of the track & make it malleable by bending & twisting the soundscape to their will. Watch out ’cause they’re gonna knock you senseless. It can’t get no hotter!
9) DJ MANIPULATOR & LOUIE GONZ join forces with BLU for next level lyricism accompanied by a jazz-fueled soundscape called “This Sound!” “The Loops” master cut is brief but incredibly effective in its 2 minute run time. The colorful flows and passion behind the bars elevate the game. Their skills are not to be tested or played with. You WISH you could rhyme like this!
10) JOHN JIGG$ reigns “Supreme” as we leave you with his K. Sluggah laced banger to REMIND you what REAL Hip Hop is all about! The “Twin Cannons” titan reps Strong Island to the fullest with a flawless stream of bars and Boom Bap production to wake your ass up and make you salute the underground! Keep this joint on repeat & remember John’s got more where that came from. TRUE talent will always shine on!
