Settle in and get set for the Top 10. The wait is over. Now check out the tracks below!

hiphoptop10-15

1) YOUNG ZEE & KNOTZ wreaked havoc over a Dreadchild laced sonic masterpiece called “I Wish” that delivered so much musical mayhem, it took us days to recover! Maniacally insane and rambunctious, the duo engaged in audio anarchy as they assaulted us with humorously twisted rhymes that served as a strong indicator of exactly how dope their forthcoming “All Barz” album will be. I wish for more unhinged lunacy from Zee, Knotz, and Dreadchild. Good thing they let the genie out the bottle!

2) We don’t usually include remixes on our list but DOMINGO’s JOELL ORTIZ, TOKEN, CHRIS RIVERS, BIG DADDY KANE & SNOW THA PRODUCT featured “Kill At Will: The Final Chapter” was so dope that it made us say f**k all that, we HAVE to give it a slot!!! I mean it’s impossible to ignore the out of this world wordplay of Joell Ortiz & Token who initially kicked off the whole shebang, not to mention Snow Tha Product who shook things up in the sequel. And now with lyrical acrobat, Chris Rivers, added to the mind-blowing massacre along with the legendary Big Daddy Kane spitting molten lava on the mic…well, let’s just say, Hip Hop will never be the same!!! Domingo is the evil mastermind behind the formation of this deviously talented collective & best believe there’s more in store. Look for “That’s Hip Hop: Generation Next” to drop October 14th with more sonic heat for the underground!

3) SMOOVTH enlisted #TheWinners fam – HUS KINGPIN, ROZEWOOD & SAGEINFINITE, for a J.O.D. laced banger called “Ouija” from his brilliant “SS96J” album. For close to 5 minutes, fans are showered with a non-stop barrage of lyrical gems that promise to stay on ETERNAL rotation! Dope bars seem to literally fall from the sky. All the rappers are mad cause they’re not #TheWinners! Hey, don’t get angry. Somebody’s gotta lose…but it won’t be them.

4) SK always raises the bar of creativity when he drops a new track. His latest banger takes its initial cue from Main Source’s classic, “Fakin The Funk,” then builds on it by adding vocal harmonies, dope instrumentation, and drum n bass styled beats to propel the joint into next level territory. The emcee’s clever, catchy rhymes keep the listeners’ attention at all times. That combined with his overall artistic genius are exactly why he’ll reach “The Zenith” and stay on top!

5) When talking about a higher echelon of emcees you must mention SCIENZE & BLU. The two gifted lyricists teamed up for a Black Spade laced gem called “Water To Wine” that made our musical cup runneth over with dope rhymes that couldn’t be contained! ScienZe’s “Kind Of Dessert” EP is coming soon so expect more sonic goodness. While you wait, play this jam again!

6) FERAL SERGE of CERTAN.ONES employs a deadly lyrical assault of the senses on the Jomac produced “TOxIC SUSTENANCE.” Listeners will be instantly captivated by the powerful bars and dexterous flow of the animated emcee as he attaches himself to the compelling groove and refuses to let go. Check out what a REAL spitter has to offer and treat yourself to this underground gem!

7) KONCEPT decimates all emcees in his path with the TENACITY featured “Reloaded!” Max Landry thrusts the refocus forward with a sonic backdrop that begins with a minimalist atonal rhythm the producer gradually layers with funky sonic elements to keep true heads amped up with excitement. Koncept toys with the beat by providing humorous asides and an energetic delivery while Tenacity maintains a deadly serious tone throughout the proceedings. They’re the Hip Hop Odd Couple who bring the heat. The pairing might appear strange at first…but it works wonders!

8) The Great AGALLAH joins forces with lyrical BEASTS, PRINCE PO, and the Rhyme Inspector PERCEE P for a new banger called “This Is Hip Hop.” Whether rockin’ on your radio, the clubs, or in the ride, this joint is guaranteed to get the excitement started! There’s nothing better than REAL spitters combining their talents to produce quality music. Dare to go up against these emcees and catch a battle scar!

9) KILLA KALI & DIRTYDIGGS are kings within the Hip Hop genre so it makes sense that they would drop the royally triumphant “Kings Roll” to complement their status in the industry. POISONOUS DIGGS reign supreme with soul grooves, trumpets of victory, head-nodding beats…and of course, masterful lyricism that runs rings around the competition. They’re fashionably late to the expo so make way as they drop science to your physical. You’re a peon in their presence. It’s good to be the King!

10) DA BUZE BRUVAZ teamed up with B.BILL for a Boom Bap showcase of “SportsmanShip” that delivered a surplus of raw lyrics and hardcore beats. A barrage of bars await you when pressing play along with a soundscape that may remind you of classic Wu-Tang with its menacing groove & snuff you from behind type atmosphere. Don’t ever step to the crew though, ’cause they’ll ‘rob you of your money for their studio time’ and have an unpleasant surprise in store for you if you catch ’em at your mama’s house…but hey, it’s in the name of Hip Hop, so all is forgiven.

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
