1) German DJ/Producer, SUPERIOR, served listeners a sample of the greatness we can expect on his forthcoming album by enlisting REKS for some top of the line lyricism on “Superiority.” Superior & Reks bring their A-Game to the studio & emerge with a winner. If you didn’t know what REAL Hip Hop was before, you’ll definitely experience it’s full essence when listening to this powerful gem.

2) BLACK THOUGHT & STATIK SELEKTAH originally recorded “Couldn’t Tell” for inclusion on the in-demand producer’s “Lucky 7” album. We don’t know why it was left on the cutting room floor, but couldn’t be happier that it finally turned up this week to land on our Top 10. Tariq & Statik’s skills are legendary…so we don’t need to go into detail here. All we need to do is tell ya to check it out…but we’re pretty sure you did that already!

3) LOOPWHOLE BEATS is gearing up for the vinyl release of “Newyorkism II” with a ROC MARCIANO featured banger called “Two Cities.” It’s that raw & gritty NY ish that we could play all day. In fact, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing…everyday…and night!!! If the music wasn’t so dope we would think we needed a shrink. Who knows…Maybe we still do. But we’ll pump this joint non-stop in the psych ward!

4) Mic skills obviously run in the family ’cause CONSEQUENCE’s son’s timing and flow are pretty remarkable for a 4 year old. Little CAIDEN works some tag-team magic with his pops on a funky, new Mike Cash produced track that will have fans recognizing him as “That Dude.” Cons’ little man actually sounds better than a lot of today’s rappers…and we’re definitely sure he’s smarter.

5) Harry Fraud crafted an ill new soundscape for MEYHEM LAUREN, ACTION BRONSON, ROC MARCIANO & BIG BODY BES that will unite the gamers & Hip Hop heads in aural ecstasy. Listen to the flawless delivery from each emcee & you’ll want to immediately play it again for a “Bonus Round.”

6) BUMPY KNUCKLES & DJ WAYNE SKI should be declared the grand ambassadors of underground Hip Hop. Whenever they collaborate the end result is always musical perfection. Take for example their latest masterpiece, “DIsGoEsOuT2U.” “Hip Hop’s Best Kept Secret” spits incredibly nuanced rhymes with his trademark hardcore flow as Wayne Ski lays down a superior soundscape to complement his delivery. We’re talking about must-listen music for listeners who respect quality content…and this goes out to you!

7) VEE SKEENO sets things off for his forthcoming “Twat Chronicles Vol. 2” by delivering the Dutty Drew produced MONSTER joint, “Crazy.” The song sounds like Skeeno’s heading off to war…and from the way he bodies the track we’re sure he returns home victorious! The lyricist’s untamed flow is as complex & exciting as ever. True Hip Hop has entered the building! When times get rough you better go crazy. Vee Skeeno & Dutty Drew will show you the way!

8) Brick City rhyme assassin, BENEFICENCE, links up with INSPECTAH DECK & DJ ROB SWIFT for an all-out aural assault called “Digital Warfare.” It’s the perfect way to get us amped up for the roll out to Beneficence’s forthcoming “Basement Chemistry” album on Ill Adrenaline Records. If you want some winter heat, check for it right here!

9) HASSAAN MACKEY brought his lyrical mastery to an infectious track from D-Rock’s forthcoming project, “The No No Beat Tape. “In Thought” is a rugged street banger that works best at full blast in the ride as you’re cruising the city streets. But even without a vehicle the impact of the music can’t be denied. Hassaan & D-Rock deliver the goods!

10) You can tell how great an emcee is by the way he makes you FEEL. SUAVA’ & IZZO are obviously on that path to greatness because the raw emotion conveyed on their new joint, “Everything I Use To Be,” resonated deeply with our writers. The verses revolving around hopelessness, shady women, fake friends, and aspirations to climb out of poverty hit home & connected with the entire staff. The content however, would be nothing without the brilliant lyrical execution & well-chosen soundscape to highlight their material. Everything I Use To Be is a statement to describe their past…but what they represent today are rising stars of the underground. Take a listen & meditate on the words. We know they have more gems in store for the future!

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
