There are plenty of senseless trends that start online, planking is clearly one of these. In a recent email Hip Hop veteran Wise Intelligent implores people to stop the planking nonsense and instead take pictures of the act of reading. He adds, “Take a pic of yourself reading a book and share it! Flood Twitter and Facebook! It’s no longer smart to be dumb.”

He contributed a picture of himself reading.

We’ll go ahead and add our own contribution as well.

If you haven’t already, take some time and read our discussion with him on the article entitled, “Real Music Industry Talk: Interview with Wise Intelligent.”

Wise Intelligent’s new album is now available. Check him out here:

Join The Start Snitching Movement

Radio Kingpin STAR of the STAR & BUC WILD Morning Show continues to make a difference. I support the quest to diminish violence in the community and to bring criminals to justice. Frankly, as I see it, being a witness is different from being a snitch.

With the savage murder of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac still unsolved, it is past time we stand up as a community and ensure the safety of our youth and our neighborhoods. The jail mentality of not “snitching” is a fallacy that does not make sense and does not exist. In every instance, we see these criminals flip on each other to get released from prison or to get a reduced sentence. Murderers need to suffer and justice needs to prevail! Mrs. Wallace (Biggie’s mom) needs justice for her talented son Christopher (Biggie). Afeni Shakur (Tupac’s mom) needs justice for her talented son, whose life was taken senselessly.

I had the opportunity to meet both rappers when they were on the rise. Biggie and Tupac were talented brothers who should have continued working together, but as is the case too often, haters and others with objectionable motives muddled the water and created a Greek tragedy. It’s time for justice to prevail and it is pass time for the killers to suffer.

Let’s support STAR’s movement to “Start Snitching.” I applaud STAR and BUC WILD for trying to make a difference. Somebody knows something – let’s make it happen!!!

You can listen live online to STAR & BUC WILD at 100.3 The Beat in Philly or online @ thebeatofphilly.com from 6 am to 10 am weekdays…
