Review: Kese – “On Me” (Video)

“Success is the sweetest revenge.” Many rappers have discussed the joy of watching haters crumble in the wake of their achievements…but lyricist on the rise, Kese, truly delivers a knock out blow to the non-believers in his hilarious new Jason Sirotin directed clip for “On Me.” The Orlando spitter gets ignored by the town locals, snubbed by producers, and dissed by the resident dime piece as he hands out his mixtape. Things quickly change however when Kese begins to ascend up the entertainment ladder. The producer screams & breaks down while watching the artist’s video on TV. He’d be pulling out his hair too but his bald head doesn’t allow for the distraction!

The female who spurned Kese earlier also seems to have gone through changes. Her home is now adorned with posters of the emcee and a Kese shrine she prays to for guidance. Of course the shorty’s blowin’ up his phone…but Kese is too busy dropping slick rhymes & getting fitted for the red carpet to bother answering. The rapper has the inside track to wealth & celebrity while his doubters remain outside looking in. “On Me” is a warning to all those who don’t see his potential. Respect the heat or get left out in the cold.
