Houston’s Kevon Pagis channels heartfelt emotion and boundless talent into a captivating new project for hip hop fans titled “Delirium.” The ascendant lyricist immediately draws us in with the moody title track that focuses on life, death, and REBIRTH before transporting the audience to “A Brave New World” filled with hope for a rewarding career as he reminisces over a past love. “Maria” then follows with an exciting dance club vibe before Kevon instructs listeners to “Be Cool” while flaunting his smooth flow to a laid back groove. “The Chill” is next with the main focus placed on the emcee’s powers of seduction until “User” flips the script by honing in on an artist out of control.

“Sweetest Sin” provides a sumptuous soundscape of beguiling rhythms enhanced by Kevon’s proficiency on the mic while “CITBOC” possesses the kind of commercial appeal that seems well-suited for pop radio. “Eleven” & “Mars” both have a trap influence…though the latter cut veers off into more mainstream territory with layered, immersive production. “Jump Out A Window” is a track designed strictly for the dance floor whereas “Type Of Shit” finds the artist shifting back to “lover man” mode over a sensual sonic back drop. “God’s Dead” is about exploring your wildest fantasies with a devil may care attitude before “Let It Go” guides us through an emotional journey with beautiful female vocals and well-crafted bars. “Dopeamine” brings the project to a close with funky grooves and crafty wordplay that demonstrate Kevon’s prowess behind the booth. The lyricist will transform your mundane existence through the power of music. Put on your headphones and enter the land of “Delirium!”
