Months ago, fans were treated to an impressive platter of distinct and hypnotic tracks from Milwaukee music innovator, Klassik. The 3-song project, titled “Winter EP,” perfectly illustrated the artist’s gift for blending sounds and musical genres. It was his way of throwing down the gauntlet to other artists & another powerful project, “Spring EP,” soon followed. Now that we’re beginning to see glimpses of warm weather, fans will be relieved to hear that Klassik is continuing his seasonal theme. “Summer EP” provides sonic rays of sunlight guaranteed to brighten your day.

“STAGESlayer”(Feat. B-Free)emanates a vibe that actually FEELS like waking up in the morning. It’s not one of those hung over, crappy, “I don’t want to go to work” mornings either. It’s one of those “I can conquer the world” feelings of invincibility you get when you know the universe is working in your favor. Chants of “Don’t stop, won’t stop” add to the visualization of success as Klassik mentally prepares for a show later that night. They can turn the lights out or cut his mic off…but nothing will stop the entertainer from slaying the stage.

“Never Belong” (Prod. by Vincent VanGREAT)contains a mellow, shuffling R & B groove that allows Klassik to fully exercise his effortless, self-assured delivery. The music and harmonies conjure up images of taking a summer cruise with that special girl. Unfortunately Klassik’s romantic excursions always seem to lead to loneliness in the end.

“F@#ks With Us” (Prod. by Group Of The Altos)wraps up the musician’s latest opus. It’s a rock-flavored cut that finds Klassik expressing anger against his enemies AND weak emcees. (…”lot of compression up on their vocals/Take it off an’ see these empty flows”). Just as listeners start to get worked up in support of the artist, the song comes to an end. But don’t be frustrated. Klassik likes to give fans his sonic treats in small doses. Play his latest EP all summer long…and remember, we’ll soon have more great music to look forward to in the fall.
