“Roxanne” Returns At Riverhead

Hip Hop can be used for good…or evil. According to the New York Post, Joy Rankin, director of the Riverhead Free Library, used lyrics from UTFO’s “Roxanne, Roxanne” to taunt an employee who was outraged that only minorities were being hired at the institution.

Diane Woodcheke, who is white, claimed that her African-American boss provoked her with various lyrics from the old school classic, reduced her job responsibilities and eventually fired her for losing passwords to library accounts.
