The “Scenario” with TES by C73

1. Is Hip-Hop Dead?

Hip Hop is neither dead or alive, it just is! It is a cornerstone in our culture constantly showing up and blending in with everything around it. It’s in our walk, it’s in our talk.

2. What is your vision of Hip Hop’s future?

Hip Hop will live an Eternal life.

3. Do you listen to other forms of music outside of Hip Hop?

I listen to all music through Hip Hop lenses. As a producer I get off on song structure and love learning different ways to achieve musical progression. Rap music is the child of all music that came before it and its influence is boldly apparent in modern music.

4. Who were your artistic/musical influences growing up?

Michael Jackson was my favorite until I stumbled upon Planet Rock.

5. What is your music background?

I am a self taught beatboxer, rapper and producer. Making music was not a choice but a calling I couldn’t resist.

6. How do you describe your music to people?

I describe it as rap with an original perspective.

7. What image do you think your music conveys?

It displays an image of individuality.

8. What’s your outlook on the record industry today?

The record industry can suck my *$%!.

9. What inspires you to do what you do?

The music I grew up, the things I go through and New York City are huge influences.

10. What project or projects are you currently working on? When will they be released?

Next up is “A Tribe Called Tes” which is a concept recording using Tribe beats taking it back to my golden era years and style. The music will be free and I will sell a limited shirt with an Anthony Lister design exclusively through Boundless NY.
