Elephant Rebellion reminds us that Chi-town Hip Hop flavor is a lot more than drill rap. Their new release, “One Love” gives the genre a healthy helping of the type of boom bap that inspires. The track “Do Werk” is call to action for Hip Hop heads to continue to build the movement forward. With that in mind, stop ignoring the elephant in the room, which is that music featuring authentic tenets of Hip Hop- creativity, positivity and upliftment, in most instances, continues to be relegated to the fringes of the genre’s offerings.
