DJ Slim & DJ Maz Expand Reach Through Self-Syndication

Through hard work, dedication, and genuine love for urban music, Dwayne “DJ $LIM”DJ Maz Marcial and Scott “DJ MAZ” Mazerall of DAM Entertainment have taken their urban radio show from one single college station to 10 different radio stations that now give them a reach of a good portion of Canada. It was recently announced that Pirate 103.5 FM was added to an already growing list of stations including commercial stations including: CFMH, Universal Urban Beat XXL, CHMR, Cable FM 103.7,Aliant.net, CHMA, CILU, CFUR and others.

Both DJs have been working hard to bridge the gap between both coasts and have been able to accomplish this goal by self-syndicating their show to nine other markets.

DJ SlimBesides the current ten stations already on board, there are currently other stations requesting the MIXDOWN show on their airwaves. For several years DJ Maz and DJ $LIM have also been working very closely with local to air not only their top 20 countdown, but also weekly interviews with some of today’s hottest artists as well as regional acts from both in Canada and the US.

When asked about how a college DJ would make the transition to creating a syndicated show that airs in various markets, DJ MAZ explains, “It all comes down to working hard and creating relationships… it didn’t happen overnight, it’s been years in the making.”
