Chuck Chan is known for crafting a multitude of superp soundscapes for #hometeam heroes GeneralBackPain, Killy Shoot, Lupus Dei & Deuce Hennessy. Every now & then he’ll even drop a dope verse or two. ‘Thing is, producing such a vast array of material can be extremely taxing on the soul. That’s why it’s good to take a little time for yourself so you can kick back & “Refresh!” On the underground juggernaut’s brand new beat tape, he aims to do just that & triumphantly succeeds. Chuck gives us plenty of boom bap as expected but mellows it out with glorious grooves of tranquility! Take for example, a track like “Home.” The cut is a major standout. Serene rhythms peacefully co-exist with a gritty breakbeat to create a maximum level of sonic satisfaction.
“Suckaz,” on the other hand, will hit ya like a hard slap across the face. You’ll feel the impact of the sonic blast then be forced to sit in a corner & reflect on the f***ed up s**t you did. “All Of The Rules” will uplift your spirits with it’s high-powered intensity before we get down & dirty with “Something Raw.” There’s so much head-spinning action on this opus that you’ll need to catch your breath. Go outside to get some air then come back inside & PRESS PLAY!
