Lagos, Nigeria native Cliffbado just dropped a hot new two-track EP called ‘We Move,’ which is out now on all platforms. Cliffbado blends his Afrobeats sound with creative and catchy wordplay throughout the project, while also sending important messages to audiences.
Following the release of his single “JOJO,” Cliffbado is back with more music for his audience. The two singles on the brand new EP are “Rules Us Well” and “Pull Up.” Both songs have distinct meanings behind them and position Cliffbado as a versatile artist who isn’t capable of not making hits. The first of the two is called “Rules Us Well” and is a politically charged track about the artist’s concerns with the restrictive and oppressive nature of the government (SARS) in Nigeria. Cliffbado uses his platform to bring attention to police treatment of the Nigerian community and spread awareness about the issue. The latter track, “Pull Up,” featuring Swagrous, is more upbeat and has a different message. Regardless, the incorporation of both songs on the EP reveal how Cliffbado is capable of bringing more to the table than just what fans would expect from him.
Cliffbado’s unique array of high-tempo, Afro-pop instrumentals are a valuable skillset to any table.
