“Man…this one has been very tough to fathom…Newark, New Jersey’s (S-s-s-straight from NJ) Tame One defined rugged basement Hip-Hop for me and not only was he a supremely talented wordsmith he was also a very dope and accomplished Graf writer so I am hoping this tribute does the Man justice, I decided to not go for the norm and have purposely not included all of the hits/LP cuts here.
I wanted to dig a bit deeper and showcase the variety and versatility of styles he possessed and the many crews, producers, artists, labels and outfits he was associated with plus some rarities and remixes of some of the classic joints etc.
