This deluxe reissue also includes rare and exclusive bonus tracks and radio ads from the film and its sequel THE HUMAN TORNADO, as well as an extensive 28 page booklet with never before seen ?behind the scenes? photos, exhaustive liner notes on the film and Moore?s career written by his official biographer Mark Jason Murray, and much more. DOLEMITE‘s original motion picture soundtrack also features the recording debut of Grammy Award winning artist James Ingram (?Just Once?, ?Yah Mo Be There?, etc.). The soundtrack will also be issued in a deluxe gatefold vinyl version limited to 1,000 copies.

In the mid 1970?s, the world?s first and greatest X-rated comedian Rudy Ray Moore, took his popular character ?Dolemite? from vinyl to film and created a massive smash hit with the gospel of street hustler, pimp and all-around ghetto superhero DOLEMITE. Without a doubt one of the best known and most enduring of all ?blaxploitation? films and scores, DOLEMITE‘s legendary story and music helped define a film genre, the sound of a decade, and give birth to a new sound that would change the face of music forever in its’ wake. Having now sold millions of copies on home video, Rudy Ray Moore and ?Dolemite? have achieved legendary status and are an admitted influence on popular artists including Eddie Murphy, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Beastie Boys, Robert Townsend, Ice T, Ol? Dirty Bastard and hundreds more. The pedigree that the oft-duplicated DOLEMITE spawned is undeniable and Moore?s fan base continues to grow, spanning all genders, races and ages.
