There’s so much authentic underground talent that it’s always a challenge to identify a definitive selection of impeccable new sonic heat to present on the weekly roundup. However, the Hip Hop tradition of Insomniac Magazine’s Weekly Top Ten must go on. So, our editors once again ventured into the depth of the subterranean soundscapes to emerge with a worthy bounty of unearthed sonic gems. Hip Hop brethren, for your listening pleasure, behold the list below.
1) Sean Price & Lil Fame f/ Rim, Teflon & I-Fresh – “Peter Pop Off”
The collaboration of two rap titans results in a magnificent project loaded with banging bars and beats and supreme sonic mastery that’s difficult to match in the genre. The track “Peter Pop Off” is indicative of the Hip Hop pedigree and dynamic energy that you’ve come to expect from Sean Price and Lil Fame. On this joint you have the added vocal stylings of Rim, Teflon and I-Fresh. 2) HUS KINGPIN x SMOOVTH (ft. ROME STREETZ) – “Hustlers Anonymous”

3) Eto, BodyBagBen f/ Al Divino & Daniel Son – “Essence”

4) REBEL RODOMEZ x BENNY THE BUTCHER x E.SMITTY – “Scare No One”
Rebel Rodomez joins forces with GxFR powerhouse Benny The Butcher to rip into a deadly E. Smitty powered gem called “Scare No One!” There’s no doubt that the competition went running instead of facing off with this treacherous trio.
5) RIGZ x MOOCH x BIG GHOST LTD (ft. Tekk9) – “Tit For Tat”
Rigz, Mooch & Tekk9 rip the set on this Big Ghost crafted banger off “The Only Way Out” project. Dip into the Hip Hop action on “Tit for Tat.”
6) TERMANOLOGY – “Only A Matter Of Time”

7) NEXQUICK x O THE GREAT – “Magneto Bordeaux”
Paris producer Nexquick rolls through with rhyme powerhouse O The Great on this sizzling joint off the “Boombap Chronicles” album. “Magneto Bordeaux” is fully loaded with tight production and top-notch street slang.
8) COUSIN FEO x Lord Juco – “Murda In Milan”
