You didn’t think Rome & Rigz would body ya in a battle?!? Take that L home to mommy & come back another day!
2) DOMO GENESIS & EVIDENCE created a platter so stellar in every way imaginable that it was nearly impossible to pick only one joint for the list! That being said, we fought it out & finally chose “Victories & Losses!” Ev always sounds supremely self-assured on his own phenomenal productions so ya know he knocks s**t out the park! And what can we say about(one of the most underrated heavyweights on the underground)Domo Genesis? He brings top quality bars to the set & shuts down everything in sight!!!
3) Is it possible to SOUND like you have a poker face? BOLDY JAMES flexes his monotone flow over an ethereal FUTUREWAVE laced heater & his emotionless delivery works wonders on the FXCK RXP release “Flag On The Play!” This is some cold hearted lyrical s**t! Boldy just doesn’t give a f**k!!! The MC’s so laid back that he even promises to be late for his own funeral! Well, one thing’s for sure…with mic skills like this his career won’t be dying out anytime soon!
4) “BILLY” is back in the building!!! ILL BILL teams up with mic terror TRAGEDY KHADAFI for a monstrous BRENX” powered banger called Leviathan!” The deadly duo dominate the soundscape with a lethal onslaught of venomous bars that eviscerate all opps!!! Y’all so-called rap gods better recognize! The REAL rap deities are spittin’ heat here on this track!!!
5) SUPREME CEREBRAL & YOGA FLAME KANE continue to reign on “Have Mercy!!!” Everyone knows Bugzy’s one of the best in the game so it’s always dope when he links up with a like-minded producer. Kane supplies the mic beast with an understated, otherworldly arrangement that puts the spotlight firmly on the ill rhyme slayer! Have mercy on whoever tries to stop him!!!
6) If you don’t “Respect The Name” you’re destined to be defeated! KING MAGNETIC & TONE SPLIFF run amok all over the underground with a hurricane blast of inextinguishable audio heat!!! KM bullies the beat & pimp slaps every sucker in the area! Tone leaves enemies bleeding from the eardrums with high impact boom bap!!! They murder wack ass rappers from city to city & throw the whole gotdamn industry into mass hysteria!!!
7) COMET finesses the set with a stellar display of “Bar Work” over a funky soundscape served up by DJ SWAB! The “Authentic Kloth” action cut showcases rapid-fire rhymes from the heralded spitter & wakes your ass up to remind ya TRUE Hip Hop’s here to stay!!! When it rains it pours muthaf***as!!! Bathe in the sonic opulence or drown in a sea of envy!!!
8) MICKEY DIAMOND has “Absolute Power” over the underground & that belief is reinforced on “No Liquor Before 12” heat produced by DJ TAKO(w/ cuts by DJ RILL)!!! The Umbrella mic juggernaut is such a lyrical behemoth that he makes his closest competition sound prehistoric by comparison!!! In fact, there’s no need to listen to anyone else! Just keep this joint on REPLAY all day!!!
9) Layers upon layers of ill lyricism!!! CERTAIN.ONES’ mic masterminds GUTTAMOUF & BOBBY CRAVES climb to the heights of the underground on a supreme selection called Grand Rising!” Aside from the superior rhymes & flows, this cut has some of the funkiest change ups we’ve heard in awhile(GOOD LAWD, those piano breakdowns are EVERYTHING)!!! These superstars go for the throat while y’all b**ch ass rappers go broke!!! Kick into high gear & PRESS PLAY!!!
10) “Every single month I’m touchin’ different cities/I’m bout’a buy my girl a new body so I can touch different t***ies!!!” CA$ABLANCA & TITOTHECZAR go into full beast mode on “El Matador” & as you can tell from that ill Tito quotable, they’re takin’ no prisoners!!! The MEN OF HONOR laced cut is laid back but the lyrics are definitely high octane! They be The Killers. Witness them murder the track below!!!
