Don’t Sleep On These New Hip Hop Releases
Insomniac Magazine heats up your winter with more impactful Hip Hop sounds from the underground! There was spillover from last week’s list due to the onslaught of nonstop sonic bangers…and judging from the latest inbox action, next week you can expect the same! In the meantime, let’s focus on the NOW. It’s time for the Weekly Top 10!
1) DJ ENYOUTEE & ZAGNIF NORI set off a sonic slaughterfest on the Crucial The Guillotine laced power heater “Death Pool!” The “Blood & Iron” banger is proof positive that the Noble Scity squadron ain’t to be f***ed wit’ as Zagnif rips apart every wack ass rapper who dare desecrate the booth with their presence! Crucial G’s track is EVERYTHING! The soundscape sizzles with raw energy that Enyoutee skillfully cuts up with ease. Real Hip Hop has been served to you on a platter. Ain’t no fakin’ jacks in this b***h!
2) When you want a “Bonafide” hit, MAGNO GARCIA & DEUCE HENNESSY will always be the emcees to give it to ya! Chuck Chan conjures his trademark audio magic to finesse the surroundings with enough heat to last a lifetime! This is that sonic flyness other crews wish they could deliver…but let’s face it they’ll never come close! A new regime has taken over. There’s no stopping them now!
3) JAY ROYALE & SUPREME CEREBRAL jump into the ring to do battle with a monstrous sonic beast called “Roddy Piper!” Slum Lord must’ve been smacking up a long line of wack emcees to get into the right mindset for this production! As bad ass as the wrestler was we think even he would’ve succumbed to the sheer force of this track! Jay & Bugzy tear down the underground while DJ Grazzhoppa makes like Randy Savage on the 1 & 2’s!
4) LISAAN’DRO sits proudly on the Hip Hop throne without a rival in sight on the J¬Es laced gem, “King Me!” When you have as much style & charisma as the #KnuckleSandwichDeli rhyme titan you could probably rest on your laurels and call it a day. Dro however, has too much talent to not give it his all & rides J’s jazzy soundscape superbly to set up a major win for the team. Respect the royal flows. Never challenge the crown. He’s a cherished emcee who’s got it M.A.D.E.
5) CRIMEAPPLE & DJ SKIZZ throw “Wet Dirt” in the faces of all the non-believers as they hit the underground with yet another smash called “Skeleton Key!” In all reality, if you doubt the skill level of either of these music masterminds you’re deeply disturbed! Crimeapple steers his endless supply of supernatural rhymes into the stratosphere while Skizz makes wannabe producers realize they’d be better off working at the post office. They hold the key to the underground. Unlock the sonic treasures below!
6) TONEY BOI & ASUN EASTWOOD stock up on some Onaje Jordan laced ammo and fire “Burning Slugs” into the heart of the competition! The lyricists spit deadly venom all over the track while seeming incomprehensibly calm throughout the entire attack! Step to Toney & Asun and you’re gonna feel the pressure. Y’all can’t handle the weight so choose wisely!
7) We all have crazy dreams but SLIM ONE, CHRIS RIVERS & TERMANOLOGY transform their fantasies into reality on “Just Do It!” The “ICONIC” trio make sure the bars and boom bap are front and center so you can feel the full effect of their sonic fury! You may have some great ideas but they won’t mean a thing unless you manifest your thoughts into action. Follow the path led by these underground heroes and accomplish your goals!
8) Get off the ‘gram and give those Twitter fingers a rest because CERTAIN ONES are back to fulfill all your social media needs with “Social Mania!” BOBBY CRAVES, DZL, JIMMI DA GRUNT, DALI & WANN SKLOBI are in top form as they settle the score with wack ass rappers and a Hip Hop industry flled with corporate clowns! Get yourself in gear. Certain.Ones are here. Respect the skills and check the sounds!
9) DA BUZE BRUVAZ PREZENT HIM LO & GIALLO POINT for a 6 track trip back to the 90’s called “OJ GLOVEZ!” The project brings back that rough and rugged Golden Era sound we’ve been missing and channels it most completely in the no holds barred single “Ol Dirty Swordzman!” Him Lo slices the competition with razor sharp rhymes and stomps across Giallo’s ambitious audio construction with the brash confidence of a conquering warrior! Enter the arena & try to battle him. Your casket awaits.
10) We’re sending you off on a high note…actually, it’s a HIGH HEAT note as masters of the underground DNTE and THEREALSKITSO ride us out with “Border Patrol!” The interplay between the two emcees is phenomenal. DNTE slides in with a smooth flow before TRS completely SNAPS and shuts down the whole affair! When it comes to dropping serious bangers, these artists can’t be beat. Everything up North ain’t always what it seems but the talent they exhibit is no illusion!
