1) Even the most hardcore thug will shed a tear when listening to the immaculate audio craftsmanship of BIG GHOST LTD’s production on the “Carpe Noctem” sonic explosive, “Benghazi Emporium!” AL DIVINO, ESTEE NACK x RAHIEM SUPREME were gift-wrapped this meteoric heat blast & they waste no time ripping it apart!!! Lyrics of fury burst into the atmosphere & back slap the beat before penetrating your eardrums & dominating your soul! If Hip Hop ceased to exist there’s only one joint you need to remember before it goes. Cherish this banger until you take your last breath & thank Big Ghost for the memories!
2) CHRIS SKILLZ is staking his claim on 2020 with HUS KINGPIN, JAY NICE & LEFT LANE DIDON featured “Olvido” heat called “Anarchy’s Angels!” The ZAIN laced masterwork sounds like you’re being pulled into a nightmarish dimension where your chances of escape are grim indeed…’sounds like an actual reality for any MCs who dare oppose them. The Night Warriors unsheathe their lyrical daggers & slaughter everything in sight with deadly flows & wickedly clever rhymes(“My aura is Phoenix. My genes(Jean)are grey”…). Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. Chris & crew are comin’ through!
3) Who knew the theme from “Days Of Our Lives” could be so funky?!? AMADEUS flips some ill soap opera steez then blesses the legendary M.O.P. & TEFLON with the glorious results. “A Serious Problem” is just that. Any other muthaf***a who thinks they can take on a track this dope is out of their damn mind! FAME, BILLY DANZE, and TEFLON promise to make n***as bleed so y’all better stand down & believe ’em!
4) Being “Young, Drugged, Armed & Dangerous” can sometimes be the best thing to ever happen to a muthaf***a! Just ask production powerhouse KHEYZINE & lyrical kingpin JOSIAH THE GIFT. With the raw banger “Rap S**t”, Josiah holds it down on the mic while dreaming of f**kin’ an actress & leaving his secretions on the mattress. Definitely not a bad thing to aspire to. We’re sure JTG will get his TMZ moment considering the skills he consistently showcases in the booth. In the meantime though we’ll keep rewinding this dope joint. Now let’s get to the dough!!!
5) TY FARRIS’s delivery on the “No Cosign Just Cocaine 3” banger “Ride Thru The Jungle” can only be described as BRUTAL…and we loved every second!!! BOZACK MORRIS conjures some next level underground voodoo s**t that takes possession of the listeners’ auditory canal & refuses to let go! Ty navigates through the sinister soundscape with the self-assurance of a world class hustler. No one plays the heavy better than Ty. When you use your mind as your muscle you never lose!
6) SUPREME CEREBRAL pours his soul onto the page & delivers prime poetic musings to fans worldwide! The slow-burning sonic masterwork known as “Magnum Opus” is brilliantly crafted by CLYPTO & features a saxophone loop that will infiltrate the deepest recesses of your emotions. Bugzy Nino becomes one with the track and perfectly captures the reflective mood triggered by the orchestral instrumentation. If you’re feeling down let the lyricist lift you up. Who’s the dopest MC? Look no further.
7) STU BANGAS brought “Beats and Blood” to the arena then enlisted rhyme renegades BLACASTAN & RECOGNIZE ALI to lead an underground army of sonic supremacy! Witness the fire & brimstone as the lyricists slay bitch-made n***as on the mighty heat blast “Gideon!” Stu serves up an ominous boom bap backdrop designed to trigger fear in the hearts of the competition while Blacastan & Ali make them wish they never touched the mic!
8) AGALLAH & ACTION FIGURE got us all amped up with their hood cinema classic in the making, “Van Buren Revenge!” The “Coke Fixtion” fixture would make the perfect addition to any 70’s Blaxploitation soundtrack but thankfully we get to enjoy it here! Agallah, DJIBRIL TOURE, and DOC BURNZ did their thing on the production tip! The paranoid energy is ratcheted up to 100 as the A-1 rhyme assassins paint vivid visuals through the power of their astonishing lyricism. The entire album is too dope to be slept on! Why spend $20 at the movies when you can PRESS PLAY & get a feature film experience at home?!?
9) GOTDAMN!!! STU BANGAS & VERBAL KENT blew the roof off the entire muthaf***in’ underground arena with the “Beats and Blood” mega banger “Sound The Horns!” You can tell Kent connected with this track from the second it filtered through the speakers. He sounds like a man POSSESSED & Lord knows we’re LOVIN’ IT!!! The MC is a carnivorous mic beast whose appetite for Hip Hop will NEVER be satisfied. This is HUNGER to the highest degree!!! Stu put his foot, arm, and entire forehead into this one!!! No mere human could create a track like this. “Sound The Horns” is some supernatural s**t that can’t be contained!!!
10) KHEYZINE & LUPUS DEI creep up on the competition then snuff ’em out of existence on the horn-laden heater “Armed & Dangerous!” The exotically jazzy instrumentation wraps itself around Lupus’ deadly deliberations as the iKing mic assassin takes suckas to task! This might be the last thing you hear before it’s LIGHTS OUT. Say your prayers & respect the skills!
