The ominous energy manifesting from the track signifies that your fate is inescapable as the MC drags you by the neck & beats ya in an alley. “Ebon’s Dreams” dispatches terror & dark humor in equal doses. Enter the never-ending nightmare of those who bet against him to win!
3) FLEE LORD, ETO & WESTSIDE GUNN teamed up for “Conflicted” heat called “Ain’t Hit Nobody” that left us feelin’ paranoid at every turn. The three unstoppable underground juggernauts spit venom so acidic, it burned a hole in our speakers!!! DARINGER conjured the sonic shenanigans that had us clutching a butcher’s knife under the bed. We’re still waitin’ for some s**t to pop off!!!
4) Throats are slit & heads are flying as PRO DILLINGER x INTIFADA BEATS set off a whole new level of sonic savagery on “Conan!” Pro ain’t playin’ wit’ y’all in 2021!!! The rhyme lord slices up the set with barbaric bars worthy of the Conqueror King’s crown while Intifada kicks other beatsmiths’ wack productions in the mud! Can you believe someone stepped up & tried to oppose them?!? You didn’t listen! Now wallow in your mediocrity for all eternity!
5) WESTSIDE GUNN, BENNY THE BUTCHER & ARMANI CAESAR embarked on a journey to remake the music industry in their own image & GOTDAMMIT “Mission Accomplished!!!” CEE GEE is behind the boards for this superb execution of boom bap brilliance that can be found on the “Conflicted” soundtrack. As expected, we find our underground champions in top form; flexing all over the joint like it’s the last time they’ll ever touch the mic. It’s all in a day’s work for the GxFR/B$F camp. Give ’em any track. Now kick back & watch ’em rip it!
6) CERTAIN.ONES could sit out the entire year & still dominate 2021 but instead they decided to toss y’all a bone! On the rock-fueled, hardcore beat-laden “Lord Barren,” BOBBY CRAVES & FERAL SERGE brought such lyrical force to WANN SKLOBI’s impenetrable soundscape that they managed to pimp slap another chart entry into submission! Once they took out the trash and regained their rightful seat on the throne Hip Hop heads worldwide could be heard rejoicing! It’s just the way Certain.Ones get down. “Always do it all ways!” That’s the motto now & forever!
7) VHS comes equipped with his celebrated brand of production steez on a dope, new underground sizzler. This time he pulls a slick move by enlisting 2 highly regarded & very diverse rhyme masterminds to join in on the action. Lyrical deity ROME STREETZ & verbal assassin A.M. EARLY MORNING remind fans it’s all about the bread on the exotic EFFISCIENZ sizzler “Bolillo!” Rising spitters & respected vets already have secret shrines of Rome in their living room…but they’ll never possess the energy & craftsmanship he consistently showcases. With this joint he leaves revelers basking in the glow of his free-form flow before exiting like a thief in the night. A flock of fervent followers soon arrive to kneel at the altar of A.M. and marvel at his mesmerizing skills on the mic!
8) SLANT HEDDSHOTTS joins forces with G FAM BLACK, I.N.F., & N.B.S. to spit vitriolic verses over an unholy CLOAQxDAGGER crafted powder keg of destruction titled “Know Who!” This is that straight out the gutter, go for broke, blow up a building type banger that will maul your attack dog & transform him into a whimpering chihuahua! Nothing this HARDCORE can get by our list & with this illustrious line up it’s a miracle that the countdown’s still standing! RUN. HIDE. BE VERY AFRAID. Now you KNOW WHO they are & you’ll NEVER forget their names!!!
9) Creating a dope Hip Hop track is like preparing a fine meal & in that regard, VIC MONROE x TONE SPLIFF are master chefs! The title track to their upcoming “Marinade” platter contains well-seasoned rhymes simmering with bravado, chopped up samples, a fresh serving of beats, and a sprinkling of raw scratches designed to satisfy the most discerning palate. You can’t get this type of dish at a fast food joint or local diner so take in the ambiance, free your mind, & enjoy!
10) When you want to cap off a countdown you gotta end with the best! THE QUARTER INCH KINGS x ZAGNIF NORI build on their magical chemistry with a supreme exploration of lyricism & production for a sterling power cut titled “Drawing Board!” The archaic rhythms hurtle us through time & space until we traverse through the civilization of ancient Egypt. Zagnif & The Kings conjure a mystical gem brimming with sonic opulence and we proudly revel in their royal existence!
