JAMAR JOHNSON & VNTG JAG are the behind the boards magicians who crafted this coveted gem and if you end up playing it 20 times or more(like we did)we definitely see why! There aren’t many joints that can stack up against this one. That’s why we put this sonic triumph on the Top 10!!!
5) RAS KASS has dropped an endless supply of cold verses but when he teams up with OCELOT, KAIL PROBLEMS & CHARLIE G he delivers “Bars On Ice!!!” TONE SPLIFF adds head-snapping cuts to this underground victory lap that’ll have you tapped in from the second the beat drops! The crew is gonna leave your favorite rappers lookin’ like Szechuan…so f**k your bars and run back home to mommy!!!
6) Who is the funkiest group on the underground? THE DOPPELGANGAZ of course!!! MATTER OV FACT & EP stay droppin’ hits which is why “And I” will be ON REPEAT for all eternity!!! If every Hip Hop crew occasionally drops a weak track we have to say this duo completely missed the memo. You can’t replicate this kind of of steez. The Doppelgangaz are one of a kind!!!
7) FAM ROSS & KHEYZINE stepped in the ring and performed the Crossface Chickenwing on their competitors while smashing the set with the “Slaughter Tape!!!” “Ralph Sweater” is one of those tracks that will bring out the bloodthirsty savage in you and make you pound each maggot’s head in the mat until they puke!!! Shut your hole you stupid muthaf***as! Apology NOT accepted. You are DISMISSED!!!
8) BERNADOOBIE beams in from a distant planet and sends sonic transmissions to astronomically talented mic avenger RUSTE JUXX on a juggernaut of a joint titled “Just Like That!!!” An everlasting supply of accolades must be given to the super producer for bucking the trend of crafting grimey arrangements to create a stellar space age anthem for the new millennium! The track grafts itself to the MC’s poisonous pen and transforms Hip Hop into an epic satellite orbiting the stars!!!
9) JFLIZ reemerges after a year long absence to drop a TALI RODRIGUEZ laced BEHEMOTH featuring DJ DECEPTA on the 1 & 2’s!!! “Death Trap” is the ultimate reintroduction to the scene in the sense it features lyrics, beats, and cuts that CAN’T be denied!!! J sounds sharper; more driven and focused than before…which means he’s a living nightmare to all would-be opponents!!!
10) FAM ROSS & KHEYZINE pay homage to “Insomniac Mag” & we in turn pay tribute to them! Ever since Pen Lordz’ Top 10 thriller, “Never Enough,” we’ve been checkin’ for Fam & Arsinel HEAVY and especially when K’s behind the boards!!! Truth is, it ain’t easy findin’ dope music so we applaud our staff for their endless dedication! Elevate your mental & remember: Authentic Hip Hop is here to stay!!!
