Don’t Sleep On These New Hip Hop Tracks

Already two weeks into 2019 and the second list of the year is once again packed with immense lyrical and production talent. There’s no excuse to not have plenty of brand new Hip Hop on your playlists. The genre is chock full of potent practitioners pushing out powerful new music. So, without further delay, hit play and absorb the work of these impressive sound artisans.

1. Certain.Ones f/ Ghostface Killah, Bobby Craves, Kinetic 9, DZL, DJ Evi Denz – “Escape From Albatross”

Rocking the top spot is Certain.Ones who bring Abundant flawless flows on the new mega banger “Escape From Albatross.” Master bar bringers Bobby Craves, Kinetic 9, DZL, and the one and only Ghostface Killah drop deadly darts on this DJ Evi Denz produced superb sizzler. Hit play. Repeat. -IZ

2. Daniel Son X Phyba Optikz X Smoovth prod. The Historian – “Hitch Hikers”

Rhyme assassins Daniel Son, Phyba Optikz and Smoovth bring in 2019 with a soulful and smooth impactful cut entitled “Hitch Hikers.” The sizzling production is handled by master sound craftsman The Historian. Check the skills by these top tier talents in Hip Hop.

3. Reef The Lost Cauze – “Hand That Feeds”

Reef The Lost Cauze is a truth spitter. The impressive emcee’s flow and lyrical content is consistent and substantial. The heavy-handed lyrical lashings and irresistible production on “Hand That Feeds” off the power packed full length release “The Majestic” makes it on the list. If you haven’t checked the album, do so, it’s  fortified with solid production and variety by The Blair Brothers and arrangements by Caliph-NOW. Guests DJ Skipmode, Baa Baa Ack, Moor Mother, Kahlil Ali and soulful vocalists Alexandra Cutler-Fetkewicz and Elissa Janelle Velveteen all shine. For now, enjoy the sonic textures and lyrical stylings on the video for “The Hands That Feeds.”


4. Recognize Ali x Ren Thomas x Ruste Juxx prod. Tone Spliff – “Style” 

New Year. New Hip Hop heat. DJ / Producer Tone Spliff delivers a dose of dope boom bap on this action packed track featuring top choice emcees. Recognize Ali, Ren Thomas and Ruste Juxx drop proficient prose while Tone rocks the cut with precision scratches. Check the steez on “Style.”

5. Rob Kelly X Rim featuring Ruste Juxx prod. by Tony Mahoney – “Smog”

Rob Kelly, Rim, and Ruste Juxx unload rugged raps over Tony Mahoney’s boom bap sound work. Don’t hesitate, check the heavyweight wordplay on “Smog.” These Hip Hop hitters menace the track like nobody’s business.

Left Lane Didon and Jay NiCE drop bars on wack rappers like nobody’s business. The “Half Moon Wit Wave Intentions” video features the top notch emcees and their fly flows on a banging Ronnie Alpha produced gem. After the video, be sure to check out the producer’s dope EP with Left Lane entitled Quantum Leap.

 

8. Therealskitso – “Wish I Could Fly”

Therealskitso shares the struggles of societal stress on his poetic cut “Wish I Could Fly.” The talented emcee/producer rekindles the sound of classic 90’s introspective boom bap on this impactful piece of sonic Hip Hop art. Hit play and take in this rewind worthy track. IZ-REAL

9.  DNTE – “’70 Cadillac Deville”

High Heat Records/Falcon Crest fam DNTE brings the smooth flowing cut that’s perfect for late night rolling through a lit city. Check the soulful hitter by this talented producer/emcee entitled, “’70 Cadillac Deville.”

10. Killy Shoot f/ GeneralBackPain –  “The Jects”

Killy Shoot and GeneralBackPain grind out skillfully penned prose on “The Jects” from the “The Balance of Man” EP. Check the stellar steez on this smooth and edgy Free Mind constructed power track and then tell your Hip Hop friends.
