Don’t Sleep On These New Releases
Insomniac Magazine delivers a list of high impact heat that can’t be denied! All the lyricists & producers put their foot, leg, and entire lower torso into the material & now the listeners can reap the rewards!!!
1) DA CLOTH’s MOOCH & super producer FITH dropped what is sure to go down as a classic with the release of their “Da 5th Power” collabo opus! There were WAAYYY too many hits on this platter(The RIGZ featured “Hard Knock Life,” “Grab da Work,” and the Donna Summer sampling “I Need You,” just to name a few)but at the end of the day we kept coming back to “Tuesday!” Mooch warns ya not to make any sudden moves before ROME STREETZ shanks ya in the artery & ROB GATES completely SNAPS all over the whole GOTDAMN track!!! Every day has something unique about it but Tuesday takes the muthaf***in’ cake!!!
2) Apparently PLENTY of bangers are being crafted “After 12” & CHE NOIR’s got 7 of ’em on her brand new EP! The Trust Gang griot is already known to be one of the nastiest in the booth & now she hits us with an additional flex by producing the entire enchilada! One of the heaviest heaters on the platter is “Divine Knowledge,” which invites listeners to get lost in the beat while Che drops jewel after jewel! Her flow, wordplay, and presentation are a godsend to the underground. Praises due to the exalted queen of the mic.
3) YOUR OLD DROOG serves up an audio tour through his ancestral heritage with the excellent opus “Dump YOD!” A major highlight from the project is the MACH-HOMMY(w/ a few seconds of some THA GOD FAHIM steez) & PHONTE featured @ARGOV_ laced cut “Uzbekistan!” Over a haunting backdrop, the mic mercenaries dominate the soundscape with outstanding flows that illuminate the dark arrangement & brighten the future of the underground!
4) CHUCK CHAN x G FAM BLACK boldly venture into uncharted territory on their new “Snuff Film” project and plant a flag for originality on the barren terrain! There were a multitude of gems to choose from on this opus(honorable mention for the ultra-creative P-RO showcased joint “Meat & Veggies”)but after a lengthy deliberation we decided on the scratch master DYSTRAKTED featured heat rock “Rabid Pit!” The high-energy track finds the mic marauder doing what he does best…which is killing everything in sight!!! Take that bass out your voice when addressing the king. Cower in your little corner & PRESS PLAY!
5) No one can f**k wit’ SUPREME CEREBRAL in terms of pure, authentic lyricism. YOU know it. WE know it & soon the rest of the world will follow suit! A mic god of this magnitude needs a divine soundscape of the highest order to propel his prophetic proclamations….so production deity RECKONIZE REAL is summoned to helm the boards on “Murder 1!” The “Gold Chain Warrior” selection is prime Hip Hop HEAT in an industry where quality music is mostly lacking. DJ GRAZZHOPPA contributes his A-list skill set with dope cuts that drive home the intoxicating experience!
6) KING V & RUSTE JUXX sling venomous verses on HANZO BLADEZ powered heat titled “Bargatory!” If you don’t know by now how Brooklyn gets down this cut will most definitely wake your ass up!!! The lyrical tacticians expertly flaunt their technique in the most defiant way possible. Hanzo supplies them with the fuel they need to conquer the mic & leave trails of sonic craters throughout the underground!
7) CA$ABLANCA x CLYPTO don’t need expensive cameras to film a movie. Their cinematic endeavors are completely on wax!!! On “Ca$A EN EL ACANTILADO”(House On The Cliff), Cas conjures a vision of lyrical lavishness that’s so vivid you’d swear you saw seagulls fly past your front door. Clypto absorbs the energy of your dream vacation home & transforms it into a song. The power spitter & production maverick work magic in the studio & share their artistic innovations with the world.
8) DARK SUMMERS unleashes a sonic virus on the underground & enlists SAGEINFINITE x HUS KINGPIN to contain it on the “Are You Afraid Of The Dark” audio banger “Wuhan Labs!” The COCAREEF RECORDS release will keep temperatures rising when #TheWinners take control of the mic! Dark Summers’ ill production is spilling out into the public & soon there’ll be nowhere to hide!!!
9) PHIL A & RASSON ARIGATO literally had to go through Hell to bring you their new “PHILAGATO” project & for their perseverance alone they should be applauded. Beyond that, the pair are receiving accolades for droppin’ dope s**t!!! Case in point, the FLASHIUS CLAYTON featured banger “Mindhunters.” On the stellar cut, he & Rasson rip into Phil’s next-level, space age soundscape with a degree of savagery that demands immediate respect on the mic. There are no limits to what the mind can conceive. And in this case it conjured a near masterpiece.
10) You’re already up on the prodigious mic talents of SCORCESE LORDE JONES. Now get familiar with PR THE GREAT, BLACK, & BIGSPITGAME as NATION GVNG lay claim to their rightful dominion of the underground. We chose The SONNYJIM laced mega blast “Til Death” to close out the countdown because nothing compares to its upwardly mobile sense of exuberance. This is a banger in every sense of the word! While other cuts on the list might trigger reflection or put us in a murderous state of mind, this joint motivates us & make us feel like we can conquer the world! It’s an undisputed triumph for the crew. Best believe you’ll be hearing more from them in the near future!
