One of the MANY standouts is the DARINGER powered explosive “Tyson Beckford” that epitomizes the perfect model of EVERYTHING the underground was ever meant to be!!! We get a suspenseful soundscape with the type of street heat true heads pray for and of course, lyrical brilliance from the beloved bar conqueror! Rome built a castle from a pile of bricks. Keep stylin’ on ’em & follow in his shoes!!!
2) SUPREME CEREBRAL is one of the most fearsome MCs on the planet!!! When he rhymes over slow, soulful grooves we sit back to absorb every word. And when he rips into an undisputed banger, we brace ourselves for the impact that comes from encountering a true force of nature!!! On “The Lost Sun Of Sunjata” sizzler “American Psycho,” the mic slaughterer known as SQUEEGIE O joins in on the action to tear apart a mammoth TONE BEATZ laced extravaganza!!! The lyrical savages are at their most dangerous & decadent as they rearrange the sonic scenery(AND their rivals’ grills)with a power beyond that of any mere mortal!!!
3) RECOGNIZE ALI & SWAB annihilate all opposing forces on their “Shooters For Hire” heater “The Purge!!” Driven by a monstrous soundscape that might literally leap from your speakers & drag you to hell, Ali spits venom at his rivals and dissolves their hopes & dreams with his acidic flow!!! This is murder rap that induces heart attacks! We went into cardiac arrest the second that we hit PLAY!!!
4) BODYBAGBEN x PLANET ASIA “Heist The Crown” & topple your kingdom on their new project’s opening track “Lard Have Mercy!!!” There are few collabos that get us amped up but the union of these two underground titans sent our expectations racing!!! As you can guess, they pulled off the heist by pulling out all the stops! P.A. & Ben stole the show & left us beggin’ for more!
5) ROME STREETZ is on some Fred Astaire s**t as he dances around DENNY LAFLARE’s infectious “Destiny Child” track with the kind of dexterity that would leave Michael Jackson in awe!!! Firmly in the driver’s seat, Rome steers listeners in any direction he desires with the self-assured lyrical command of the genius we all know him to be! Few MCs can TRULY say they were born to do this. Rome is a sharp needle in a haystack of lesser talent!!!
6) G FAM BLACK is droppin’ any signs of self-effacement & modesty as he flexes his elite penmanship on the FLU powered “Starvin Hagler” sizzler “Pay Me Respect!!!” Over 30 tapes in his discography?!? 100 features in 100 days?!? HELL YEAH!!! And there’s a reason G Fam’s in such popular demand! No one sounds like him & can deliver such dementedly dope joints time after time! The work’s impeccable. The talent’s off the charts. He & Flu are emperors in the Hip Hop arena!!!
7) Only elite lyricists are allowed to ever grace an ALCHEMIST track which is exactly why ROME STREETZ easily dominates the superb selection “Long Story Short!” Over a marvelously cinematic arrangement, Rome tells the tale of two up and comers destined for stardom who were taken under by the hood. Both were tryin’ to ball but they took a fall. Heed the warning & don’t let it happen to you!
8) EL GANT unleashed so much potent poetry on “Roar The Lions” that everyone in the office bowed down to the speakers and started building shrines to the mic warrior!!! MOTIF ALUMNI crafted this flawless slice of sonic magic & he obviously put his foot all the way in the production pot!!! As if that’s not enough, DJ GRAZZHOPPA conjures the most lacerating cuts to pierce the underground since Preemo’s last star-packed session! If the competition’s gettin’ a little nervous now, just wait until the entire “O.S.L.O.” project f**ks ’em up on Friday!!!
9) Are you one of BRONZE NAZARETH’s rivals concerned about the impact of his latest album?!? Well, “If You’re Worried You Should Be!!!” On “Talk My S**t,” B.N. reminds all you muthaf***as that he’s the best in the game…and it’s easy to see why! Listen to those top tier bars over HIS OWN unsurpassable production and acknowledge that you’re experiencing greatness!!!
10) JAY NICE’s imagination is so expansive & limitless that he can deliver rhymes about ANYTHING & make it work!!! On his DJ TAKO laced platter “STRIPS” the sovereign ruler of the mic takes us back to the comics that appeared in the local newspapers & always brightened up our day! “MARMADUKEFLYTALKER” is one of the funkiest cuts that showcase the big dog of the underground bitin’ into the sonic scenery while pissin’ all over ya weak ass wannabe rappers! He’s one of the most skilled & talented in the game. Roll over. Play dead. And let Jay NiCE show ya how it’s done!!!
