Don’t Sleep On These New Hip Hop Releases

Insomniac Magazine delivers the stand out bangers of the week with the latest edition of our Hip Hop Top 10! Check out the underground sounds & explore the new heat below!

1) JAMAL GASOL’s new MICHAELANGELO produced “Crackhouse, USA” project is overflowing with gems…but our pick of the week is the FLEE LORD featured heater “Str8 Drop!” The bouncy head-nodder draws listeners in with its massive beat & funky minimalistic arrangement. Jamal jumps into the fray with self-assured vocals & a smooth cadence while Flee Lord amps the energy to the max with his unhinged flow! It’s time to set up shop at the crackhouse. But the only dope being distributed is comin’ straight from the speakers!

2) EL CAMINO x 38 SPESH cook up a feast of ill rhymes on the Boodeini laced banger “Stove Tops!” The GxFR/Trust Gang collabo is everything you’d expect it to be…AND MORE…as the hardcore lyricists rip the mic with such ferocity blood spills out from the booth! Forget all that good guy ish. Elcamino & Spesh are straight-up villains! There’s a robbery goin’ down & they’re stealin’ the show!

3) CHUCK CHAN x GENERALBACKPAIN smoke the mic on an ONAJE JORDAN powered heat blast called “Pall Mall!” The #hometeam duo load up on lyrical ammo & fire bars directly at your dome while Onaje ensures you’ll be needing a neck brace after all the head noddin’ goodness! The crew makes pivotal moves in the booth that keep fans clamoring for more. They “stole the whole underground crown…now let that settle in.”

4) WESTSIDEGUNN, CONWAY THE MACHINE & BENNY THE BUTCHER satisfy our appetite for hardcore lyrics & production with BEAT BUTCHA & DARINGER crafted audio heat called “Chef Dreds!” The GxFR juggernauts trade bars that make the competition throw away their pads & pens and apply for a job at McDonald’s!!! Griselda dominates the scene yet again. Who could ask for anything more?

5) JAY NICE, LEFT LANE DIDON & ROME STREETZ are feelin’ like DMX or “Earl Simmons” to be more precise as they deliver dope bars on a raw, unleashed FARMA BEATS laced banger! The “POMPEii” mega joint will leave listeners barking at the moon as the feral rhyme slingers get savage on the track! 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6…it don’t get doper than this. You BETTER check out the heat below!

6) OL MAN 80ZZ x FALCON OUTLAW detail the life of a “Convict” with poetic urgency and a sweeping, cinematic soundscape. Falcon Outlaw utilizes his impressive narrative technique to relay his tale in the most effective way possible. Instead of opting for a head-spinning flow or complex lyricism he gives it to ya raw & direct. Ol Man 80zz backs up the bare transparency of Falcon Outlaw’s rhymes with ground-breaking production that threatens to leave massive craters in the pavement!

7) BODYBAGBEN crafts an immersive sonic backdrop ably bodied by #hometeam heroes KILLY SHOOT x GENERALBACKPAIN called “Lessons Learned!” The “Holy Hands 2” heat blast showcases two of the most consistent lyricists in the game givin’ their all for what amounts to a master class in Hip Hop’s underground. Get your weight up & your cake up. Now stay up & listen. Respect Due Records’ debut single is an undisputed winner!

8) OBSERVE SINCE 98’s final installment of “Royaume Du Sauvage” has arrived in the form of THA GOD FAHIM x JAY NICE featured gem “Modern Excalibur!” The stellar Loretta Records single conjures up visions of knights & assorted ancient warriors in a fierce battle for supremacy! TGF brings an earnest quality to the proceedings that make him instantly relatable while Jay keeps the action grounded with street smart lyricism that elevate the action!

9) SLEEP SINATRA hit listeners with an overload of bangers on his “Animal///God” album but the NO.PULP powered “Conversations With Nietzsche” was one of the main joints we kept coming back to! The uplifting soundscape made us feel like we could conquer the world despite the darkness closing in. Sleep’s powerful cadence propelled the energy to a higher level with a brief but triumphant display on the mic!

10) MEPH LUCIANO hit listeners with surprise “American Werewolf In London” heat called “Silent Witness!” The Goblin laced production contains an appropriately eerie vibe that the lyricist complements with conspiratorial cadences that suggest he’s letting us in on some confidential info that must be hidden at all costs. Well, the secret’s out now. We’re now privy to the fact Meph & DJ Goblin ain’t to be messed wit’!!!

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
