This is the kind of cut that takes you back to the essence of the underground! Ya want the best beats & bars? They got plenty!!!
4) HUS KINGPIN conjures a mystical mega heater for the ages with his sinister new sizzler “Mr. Ouija!” Levitating over the underground, #TheWinners mic sorcerer plots his unrepentant attack on the eve of destruction. ABOMINATION ONER summons up sonic demons from the gateways of hell to assist with the devious undertaking.Together they vanquish all foes & extinguish their enemies’ existence!
5) DJ MERCILLESS & ASUN EASTWOOD made it nearly impossible to select only one Top 10 track from their flawless “Buffalo Rapchaz” project…but after endless debate(and a staffer’s swift beatdown…hey, we’re passionate about this s**t!!!) we chose the CONWAY THE MACHINE featured slice of sonic nirvana titled “Merci To God!” The immaculate piano loop arrangement, breathtaking bars, head nod beat, and ill cuts made this joint so REWIND-WORTHY we had a problem putting it on pause long enough to complete the list! All we can say is that these underground titans should be proud of themselves for crafting this triumph! They came, saw, conquered & left the competition many light years behind!
6) VINNIE PAZ & CAMP LO’s GEECHI SUEDE showcase an endless onslaught of lyrical insanity on THE CUSTODIAN OF RECORDS powered heat blast “Heroin On A Harpoon!” Geechi “stands on solidarity” and shuts down the set before Vinnie singlehandedly rebuilds it to catch wreck all over again!!! We love the direction this MC’s been goin’ in & with Onaje behind the boards best believe he’ll remain victorious!!!
9) DUB SONATA enlists enigmatic mic god VORDUL MEGA for a new “Tranquilizer Dart” sizzler called “The Butterfly Effect!” Over an incredibly compelling arrangement(that features dope cuts by DJ NYCE), the lyricist details life struggles while trying to maintain his sanity in a cold world! This is serious heat on a global scale. Get a grip & PRESS PLAY!
10) PRO DILLINGER heats up the scene with POTATO GOD powered heat from his “Dios Es Amor” platter titled “Swear To God!” #TheUmbrella’s uncanny rhyme assassin possesses one of the most coveted voices on the underground & he utilizes it to maximum effect on this ill track!
