Insomniac Magazine’s Weekly Hip Hop Top Ten 11/27

Insomniac Magazine reels you in for another edition of the Weekly Top Ten! Gear up for action & tap in below!!!

1) MICKEY DIAMOND keeps racking up the hits and his latest platter is no exception! On the “Bangkok Dangerous 4” opener, “Dangerously In Love,” the rhyme renegade pulls us into a cinematic adventure crafted by MALLORI KNOX that reveals yet again why he receives so many accolades! On the soulful audio treasure we hear beatdowns & gunshots…but nothing’s more threatening than the way Mick murders ’em on the mic!!!

2) MIDAZ THE BEAST & PLANET ASIA join forces to stomp suckers out over a SHARP seared soundscape that could capsize the universe!!! Listening to MCS of this caliber trade bars over a high-powered arrangement is without a doubt, a glorious moment to experience! When you think they’ve run out of rhymes they hit ya with more. It’s one of those joints you wish could last forever!

3) CZARFACE step into the future blastin’ arch-enemies with the ‘Czarchimedes’ Death Ray!” This track is so ill you’ll find it impossible to sit there idly as the music continues to play. Insane rhyme patterns and production make your head spin! Listeners are in for the ride of a lifetime!

4) REEK OSAMA & CIRCA 97 enlist THE UMBRELLA for assistance as SNOTTY joins the action on “Skummy Szn!” Hardcore is too weak a word to describe the excitement that arises when these deadly bar assassins go to town! The beat rattles the planet but doesn’t phase each MC in the slightest. They rip apart all opps then bury them in the ground!!!

5) STALLONE & WEATHERS step in the ring again to deliver a knockout punch to the competition!!! Whenever PRECYCE POLITIX & ACHILLES HILL team up magic happens…and that could never be more apparent than on “The Cost Of Doing Business” banger “Blessed Be The One!” Vengeance is at hand when Stallone’s partner-in-crime gets hit & there’s no time to even think about mourning. He just assembles the crew & goes out on a hunt. Their enemies won’t live to see another day!!!

6) FLEE LORD, DOUGH NETWORKZ & LOCAL ASTRONAUTS solidify the union of New York & California for all eternity with the star-packed project “East To West: The Compilation!” Each cut possesses something unique to offer but the CRISIS laced “Contract Killer” track is an undisputed standout. TRIZZ, SIRREALIST & HOLOGRAM weave wondrous wordplay over the track so perfectly it’s obvious they were born to bless the mic!!!

7) It’s time to KEEP STIRRINNN cause JAMAL GASOL & THE STANDOUTS are back with the high level steez they’re known for!!! On “Stir The Pot Freestyle Part 34,” Jamal expertly navigates thru a minefield of supreme soul rhythms until you submit to the crew’s every command and purchase their entire catalog!!! Ain’t no problem spreadin’ the wealth when you get gems like this! There’s no denyin’ that this team are truly at the top of their game!

8) If ya hear “Marching Bands” outside it might be WHOISBRAVY & TY DA DALE comin’ to blow a hole in your head!!! On the XANTANAA laced sizzler, the rhymes are about as ruthless as they can get when there’s bloodlust on the mind. Ya f**ked wit’ the wrong crew & now you have to pay the price. No time for regrets. Say your prayers as they turn out the lights!

9) CHUBS & FARMABEATS team up with BUB STYLES on a new “Burly Bible” heater called “Tears From An Angel!” The only crying that’s going on is coming from the opposition as slugs start flying in their direction! You can’t stop this trio when they get down to business. Don’t get caught in the crossfire & things will end up just fine!

10) When you conclude the countdown ya gotta do it BIG! That’s why we’re ridin’ out with JAMIL HONESTY & JR SWIFTZ on the DJ GRAZZHOPPA featured banger “Real Rap!” The “Memoirs” masterwork is exactly the type of medicine you need to cure you from the cavalcade of commercial crap that’s been cluttering up the area. Jamil & JR lift up your spirits by going back to the essence. The duo flood the underground with a blast of unadulterated authenticity!

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
