1) SPECTACULAR DIAGNOSTICS planned to release his “Raw Unknown” platter in April but because it leaked early we’re getting it now. Some might view the premature delivery as unfortunate but we see it as a blessing in disguise because heat this powerful can’t be contained! A perfect example of the production master’s amazing prowess on the boards can be found on a stellar cut called “The Most.” The music maverick crafts a supremely hardcore soundscape & gifts it to an MC who knows exactly what to do with it! MAK P is the man of the hour…forget that, he’s the man of the month, of the year, and the century!!! The ill rhyme slayer weaves intricate bars into the sonic palette that awaken our senses & amp up the underground! His style is raw & abrasive which is what’s needed to destroy all competition on the mic. Other artists are doing the most to get some attention but these creative masterminds outshine them every time!
2) It’s rare that we include freestyles or remixes on the list but HUS KINGPIN finessed the PETE ROCK produced “Situations” track (from Edo G’s 2001 “The Truth Hurts” project) so well that failing to acknowledge its merits would be nothing short of a crime. Hus showcases his poetic powers and is clearly in peak form. Listening to #TheWinners mic controller on this joint will transport you to a mystical realm of inspired imagination. Enter Lord Wavo’s magical domain & journey to the point of no return!
3) VIC SPENCER is King of the Court on the SPECTACULAR DIAGNOSTICS powered mega heater “Free Throws!” The “Raw Unknown” banger supplies the much-needed bounce we need while Vic provides the lyrical smackdown! No one else possesses the sarcastic wit and casual charm the MC conveys time after time. His rhymes are so clever that you’ll keep the joint on REPEAT to make sure you don’t miss anything. When combining Vic’s mic skills with Spec’s production all you have to do is sit back & let the magic happen. These are two titans dominating the Hip Hop landscape. Step aside as they conquer the world!
4) CA$ABLANCA x MEPH LUCIANO take listeners on the “La$t Road II Dama$cu$” while bringing destruction to all opposition who stand in the way! THE PAD SCIENTIST conjured power gem kicks into gear with exotic rhythms and breathtaking beats that cry out for a lyricist worthy of its stature! In this case, two Men of Honor approach the palace of sound before dominating the throne with heavyweight bars of steel! The path to finding quality Hip Hop might’ve been a long one. But at least there’s fulfillment at the end of the road.
5) ROME STREETZ hits listeners with that “Foul Wild Sh**” on yet another phenomenal “Raw Unknown” heat blast laced by SPECTACULAR DIAGNOSTICS. The funky track spills over with the kind of energy that immediately forces you to pump the joint up LOUD! Rome swoops in like a bird of prey and lifts the intensity even higher with his animated flow & ill rhymes. Everything he spits is fire. Pour gas on the competition & watch ’em burn!
6) TERMANOLOGY teams up with MATH HOFFA x EA$Y MONEY to snatch chains & mics on the ARTISIN produced banger “3 x 24!” The lyrical savages slap up all you weak ass wannabes & show ya how to REALLY rock the mic! Flows are tight & rhymes are hardcore. Try that mumble rap ish here & they’ll break your jaw!
7) VERBAL KENT x RECOGNIZE ALI join forces as DUELING EXPERTS to give ya that real live s**t on “The Middle Finger!” When ya don’t give a damn about anything it frees you up to be…YOU. LORD BEATJITZU fuels the sonic excursion with liberating rhythms reminiscent of the RZA. He keeps the intensity escalating as the lyrical executioners chop heads for fun! If ya can’t get wit’ this they don’t give a f***. Mind your business or get a hole in your Cerebellum!
8) GENERALBACKPAIN rides a slow-rollin’ rhythm on his way to “Fast Cash!” SPECTACULAR DIAGNOSTICS emerges from the darkness & injects the cut with a dusted, cinematic feel that induces a wave of paranoia. GBP then materializes to transform your delusions into cold, hard reality. The Inglewood Assassin’s haunting vocals overpower everything in his immediate circumference AND the world at large. He’s got a score to settle & unfortunately you’re in the crosshairs.
9) MOSBEATS delivers an otherworldly soundscape for SNOTTY to dive into on the “MOS REIGN” masterwork “Coco!” The trippy, almost angelic backdrop stands in stark contrast to the earthbound imagery elicited by the rising underground spitter. Snotty wrestles the demons within & shares memories of his life consumed by darkness. Instead of allowing the past to defeat him, he works hard to bring light to his future!
10) THE COOL KIDS x ALCHEMIST were doing “Layups” all over the underground but then we heard their BOLDY JAMES featured power joint & said “WTF?!?” The track begins with the LL Cool J office crashing scene from Krush Groove & gets iller from there! Al transmits ominous vibes as the trio rattle off insanely sinister bars that’ll make you quit your day job and pull a bank heist! Rhymes are on point for this murderous masterpiece. Put your ski mask on when listening!
