Don’t Sleep On These New Hip Hop Releases

Insomniac Magazine brings sonic excitement to your speakers with the latest edition of our Weekly Top Ten! Begin the ultimate audio adventure by checking out the list below!

1) CERTAIN.ONES take charge like an alkaline and dominate the charts with a wondrous Wann Sklobi heated pot boiler called “Broth!” BOBBY CRAVES & FERAL SERGE enlist PARANORMAL for the action and you can best believe the barz & beats exceed all expectations as the lyrical trio turn water to wine with this bountiful bonanza of underground excellence. Wander ’round town, raise hell then simmer down. Put this track at the top of your to-do list & PRESS PLAY!

2) WATERR x FARMA BEATS emerge from the lab with a MONSTER banger & procure the amazing mic talents of the one & only TY FARRIS for a dope joint titled “N.I.T.V.” The triumphant trifecta introduce Hip Hop fiends to a new drug by injecting them with a dose of high quality Hip Hop heat that can’t be beat! Enter the fast lane & check out the underground champions below!

3) Observe since 98 brings together SMOOVTH, MAVERICK MONTANA, RIGZ & CODENINE for a master showcase in ill lyricism called “Bolivian White!” Vivid dreams transform into real images as the power spitters do massive damage to Observe’s infectiously soulful soundscape. These are the emcees you call when you need to get the job done. The block is hot but THE BOOTH is even hotter!

4) INNOCENT? & STAN DA MAN brought so much intensity to their One Verse/One Beat a day, 28 day onslaught that it was next to impossible to choose a selection for the list. We say “next to” because after a few shouting matches & minor beatdowns our hard-working staff finally decided on the power of “DAY 9!” Stan conjured some heavy duty boom bap then proceeded to put his foot ALL THE WAY in the production as Innocent reined control to steer the sonic beast into Hip Hop history! There aren’t enough days in the week to contain this kind of heat! You better get in on the action while ya can!

5) WAVY DA GHAWD, BUB ROCK & SPODA “Walk & Talk” while you wannabes stare silently in awe! It’s obvious this trifecta of talent is different from the rest as Bub & Spoda savagely rip into WDG’s production then spit out the soundscape’s remains. If you want to battle them you’re destined to lose. Walk your ass somewhere else & talk that bulls**t to a loser who’ll listen!

6) LEFT LANE DIDON x MELANIN 9 push beyond the boundaries of sight & sound with a slice of sonic heat titled “4D!” The lyrical journeyman treads across Melanin’s brilliant production with the dexterity of a master trapeze artist. Left keeps listeners captivated with his elevated skills on the mic while competitors can’t get their careers off the ground!

7) ZILLA ROCCA & VIC SPENCER lose their minds when writing lines and damage everything moving on an exotic Ray West powered heater titled “Spy vs Spy!” The emcees of deep espionage BLACK OUT on the track and show the world how two Hip Hop phenomenons get down. Y’all know no mission’s impossible if these spitters are involved. They’re too boom bap for the arthouse, too weirdo for the Trap House, too indie for the cash out…but just right for the underground!

8) Tumbleweeds have been blowin’ thru the empty streets of the hood cause rappers are too scared to come outside!!! BANISH HABITUAL & NOWAAH THE FLOOD are the reason emcees have been fleeing the scene as they rid the world of weak lyricists on the J.F. produced banger “Screaming To The Sky!” The venomous verbal vigilantes leave bodies in the trunk as their cross country slaughterfest becomes so extreme the Grim Reaper even runs the other way. Encounter the crew & scream bloody murder! Take your beating like a man & hit PLAY.

9) YELLOW BALACLAVA, KHEYZINE & KILLY SHOOT serve bullets for breakfast on a sinister new heater titled “Bag It Up!” Killy doesn’t hold back on his intentions as he confronts all enemies, delivers a death blow, then carves a crude epitaph on their tombstones. Street life definitely ain’t a game. F**k wit’ Killy & you’re bound to get hurt!

10) Of course we’re closing out the countdown with another all-purpose heater!!! HAZE x production master FARMA BEATS bring serious repercussions to clowns talkin’ nonsense on “Rap & B**t!” The rhyme warrior takes note of the lyrical regression present in modern day Hip Hop and blasts through the muck & mire for a superior showcase of bars while Farma conquers the underground with his unmatched brand of audio heat!

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
