With nearly twenty heaters left on the cutting room floor, it was down to the wire for the latest edition of Insomniac’s Weekly Top Ten! Well, y’all know what to do now. Get yourself in gear & tap in!!!
1) PLANET ASIA & MIDAZ THE BEAST dominated the entire tournament when they linked up with ALLYRICS for the TZARIZM laced banger “Ball Hogs!!!” The “And 1 Rap S**t” sizzler kept fans cheering in the rafters while the ill lyricists destroyed the opposition by steady dunkin’ on ’em! Ya wanted raw Hip Hop? It doesn’t get better than this! Make way for the underground all-stars!
2) MC WHITEOWL hits ’em wit’ dat funky rhythm on a BOMBEARDO powered banger featuring BOBBY CRAVES, FAZEONEROK & STRESS rippin’ the track alongside insane cuts by KEEF WOOKIE! “Bogey Flippin” is the type of dark, brooding joint that separates mice from men and promises to put hair on the chest of any pre-pubescent adolescent!!! “Spiral out of control, revitalize the style” but just don’t forget to PRESS PLAY!!!
3) CAMBATTA’s a little confused…but in a good way, as he makes absolutely no sense on a dope DOMINGO laced track called “Wise Dumb!” The lyricist doesn’t snort coke…but he likes the way it smells! He doesn’t drink liquor…but he holds it in his cup…and so on, and so on, and so on…as the madness continues in his rubber room of rap! You might’ve been perfectly sane when you turned on this track but by the end of it you’ll be crawling up the wall!!!
4) FRANK WHITE BX gave young guns a taste of the Golden Era when he spit dat hot s**t on the ENELS laced “90’s Freestyle!” The “Honor Among Thieves” sizzler is true head nod heat for the listeners and a wake up call for any sucker who stepped up to battle! Remember we were warnin’ ya before you ended up at the coroner. We suggest you take your L and stay away!
5) DANIEL SON aims to die a legend as he contemplates his “Last Day” on earth over a sinister DJ LOW CUT laced instrumental! The Brown Bag Money superstar focuses on the mission at hand & steers the cinematic track as confidently as Francis Ford Coppola gearing up for The Godfather! Each rhyme is rich in resonance. Each action is engraved in stone!
6) J.O.D. provides a breezy backdrop for super lyricist SMOOVTH to shine on with the release of their new gem “Place & Actions!” The Hempstead, L.I. heavy hitter continues to lap y’all slow-witted wordsmiths while adding numerous notches to his belt. All we can say is you might not see him coming. But his presence is most definitely felt!
7) NES lets off a clip from his “1000 Shots Tape” featuring ROME STREETZ on the sizzler “Off White 5s!” The high potent street poetry of the prolific power spitter blows away everything that enters his domain! Rome’s a one man army with a microphone & the entire world bows down to his name!
8) NAPOLEON DA LEGEND & CRAZY DJ BAZARRO light up the night with their winning combo of beats & rhymes on “Star Sign!” It’s a “Yellow Cake” sonic excursion that mixes a funky Nice & Smooth sample, fly cuts, and elite lyricism with a bass heavy arrangement that can’t be stopped! 9) JAMIL HONESTY & APOLLO are “The Surgeons” of the underground who stitch the very fabric of Hip Hop back together with sharp, precise rhymes! MACHACHA is in the operating room making the whole procedure possible with monitors regulating the sonic proceedings! It takes a particular skill-set to spit bars like this. Call code blue for the weak-hearted competition!
10) An “Iron Hand In A Velvet Glove” leads to a “High Octane” experience with YASIN & CLYPTO!
