Don’t Sleep On These New Hip Hop Releases

Insomniac Magazine serves up a steady supply of underground Hip Hop excellence on the latest edition of our Weekly Top Ten! Check the technique & feast your eyes on the explosive new list below!

1) DJ NUGZ enlists SUPREME CEREBRAL for a “Stashbox Chronicles” master cut called “Mixing Dope!” The funky underground banger possesses a killer groove & boom bap bounce that’ll keep your head noddin’ and kick your body in gear! Bugzy Nino takes full advantage of the sonic landscape to deliver out of this world wordplay & Godly verses you won’t find elsewhere. This is the kind of dope you NEED in your system. Take one hit & be blown away!

2) A month ago, LISAAN’DRO dropped a classic on arrival that shook up the underground! Despite that, some heads out there still haven’t received the memo that there’s a new king seated atop the Hip Hop throne. Luckily, a powerful J-Es laced heater recently dropped on the scene to correct that major oversight! On “M.A.D.E. OUT NOW!” Dro pulls out all the stops as he rips into relentlessly raw production that will have you committing homicides around town as a way of unleashing all that pent-up energy. It’s no tragedy though. The victims will rise from the dead & the police will party with you in the club when they hear Lisaan’dro murder the beat!

3) CERTAIN.ONES deliver an overdose of audio excitement on their brand new mega heater “Ultra!” STRESS, JIMMI DA GRUNT & BOBBY CRAVES spread a wealth of lyrical jewels throughout WANN SKLOBI’s magical sonic terrain while continuously amping up the energy. The colossal collective are adventurous ambassadors of the digital capacitor…an ultra-talented unit for whom fans are forever grateful!

4) KNOWLEDGE THE PIRATE knocks big mouth n***as back down to size with his “Black Cesar” banger “Science Born!” The illustrious e.l.e.m.n.t. graces the track with magnificently understated production that perfectly complements the power lyricist’s delivery & ramps up the intrigue. Knowledge reels listeners in with a cinematic street narrative that serves as a cautionary tale to all the wanna be thugs puffin’ out their chests. Y’all ain’t got the heart to survive! This s**t ain’t a game.

5) OBSERVE SINCE 98 drops more “Return Of The Savage” heat in the form of the 38 SPESH, JAMAL GASOL & HAZE power collabo “Hold That Title Up!” The production maverick conjures a soundscape that’ll blow out your subwoofers & all the windows in your neighbor’s NEIGHBORS house as the boom bap takes ahold of the atmosphere to decimate everything in sight! Spesh, Jamal, and Haze play a major role in the sonic destruction by throwing lyrical daggers in the mix to shred everything in sight! When the smoke clears you know who the winners are. Hold That Title Up & make all Hip Hop listeners proud!

6) FASTLIFE gets his spy game on with Sadhugold laced audio opulence titled “007!” The clandestine mic controller stealthily cruises across the sinister soundscape and delivers a barrage of dope bars. His assignment was to rock the mic & leave the crowd begging for more. All we can say is MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

7) WAVY DA GHAWD fuels RIM & BUBBA ROCK with sonic firepower for a high-powered heater titled “Rockim'(Game 1)! When Wavy’s sinister groove permeates through the speakers you know you’re gonna be in for a treat! The deadly duo snatch up trophies and smackdown their competitors in a lyrical bloodbath for the ages. They’re kickin’ that s**t that’s hard to flush! Game on. PRESS PLAY below!

8) VINO digs up “Buried Money” and a treasure trove of lyrical heat on the ill banger “Moon Knight!” Within the course of two minutes, the Black Soprano Family spitter showcases a self assured delivery overflowing with power & raw intensity. Solid production propels the emcee into the stratosphere and immediately shines the spotlight on him as a talent on the rise. Vino’s mic skills may have been the best kept secret in the underground but now that all is revealed we’re waiting to see what surprises he has in store for us next!

9) APOKALIPS THE ARCHANGEL drops one of his best tracks to date on a collabo with DJ M1 called “Escape From New York!” The Top Shelf Muzik titan hits listeners with bars of fury that are also embedded with an undercurrent of social commentary. Apokalips cleverly weaves his insightful commentary into the proceedings as DJ M1 supplies a brilliantly crafted sonic backdrop to accompany his rhymes. These two artistic entities need to work on a full project together. Hell, they need to work on ALL projects together from now on. Apokalips & M1 serve up REAL Hip Hop for the masses. Escape from wack joints & check out the gem below!

10) We gotta send you off with that dope s**t & NOTHING could be more fitting than the BULLIES'(DENMARK VESSEY, DRXQUINNX & AZARIAS)debut power joint “Maury!” It’s been a long time since our staff witnessed lyrically savagery at this level! When you want to take an express ride to rhymes that are RAW, AUTHENTIC, and UNCUT your first stop is here! You’ll feel the hunger in their delivery and be mesmerized by the hypnotic rhythms pervading the atmosphere! Maury Povich isn’t even really needed for a paternity test for this sonic adventure. Bullies are the father of this lyrical style. No other crews are ill enough to claim it as their own.

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
