Don’t Sleep On These New Releases
Insomniac Magazine hits ya with Top 10 heat from an action-packed week of sonic savagery! There were waaayyy too many dope joints for consideration…enough to fill out a Top 50!!! Expect to see some of those tracks on the next Hip Hop round up. But for now, check out the ill list below!
1) DJ MUGGS x FLEE LORD paid homage to artistic icon RAMMELLZEE on extraordinary underground heat titled “The Equation!” Wreaking havoc over a blunted beat, the LordMobb mic murderer massacres everything that steps in his path. Muggs sprays the set with heavy sonic artillery and embeds the action with brilliant sound bites galore!!!
2) IM’PERETIV crafted the dopest track on the underground…so it made sense that he would enlist the dopest MCs to rip into it! ASUN EASTWOOD & SLNC get ruthless on the mic while DYSTRAKTED causes much damage on the 1 & 2’s for the apex of audio heat titled “Eye Of Saadiq!” This is one of those joints that appeared out of the ether to smack us into a state of submission. LISTEN, RESPECT, and OBEY their every command. They control your soul. Don’t even try to fight it!
3) ARMAND HAMMER showcase the limitless power of their lyrical abilities on THE ALCHEMIST laced “Haram” heater “Sir Benni Miles!” ELUCID & BILLY WOODS have always traversed the outer regions of reality with complex bars that make even the most respected MCs seem like they’re spittin’ nursery rhymes by comparison. Ain’t no toddler rap here though. Armand Hammer lead us to a transcendent new state of divinity with Alchemist waiting for us at the temple!
4) 2021 is now officially declared the year of ZAGNIF NORI & THE QUARTER INCH KINGS! The crew are back on the countdown again with a stellar star turn from SUEZAR on an indelible audio master work titled “The City God Forgot!” The emperors of elocution wield their influence in the palace of Hip Hop as trumpets blare triumphantly in the distance!
5) One of the best things about CRIMEAPPLE is that he doesn’t need to scream & shout to let ya know how incredible he is. He’ll do it CASUALLY over a BUCK DUDLEY track & make you feel stupid for ever doubting him. Lets face it, he’s doing a great f***in’ job & on “Carrington Event” you’ll never forget that fact again! Buck lays down the lush & lavish groundwork that sets s**t off as the mic god blesses us with his venerated presence. He’s in a league too large for you to even consider. His star’s rising while you’re still unknown.
6) CERTAIN.ONES stay dominatin’ the Top 10 & yes, “Indeed” they’re back here again! The competition must be wondering if this crew will ever run out of steam & the answer is NO because their latest banger is one of the best to date!!! REIGN SUPREME, BOBBY CRAVES & FERAL SERGE teleport us to a dynamic domain of sonic wonderment supremely stretched by the great WANN SKLOBI! The lyrical leaders of the pack embark on a bold new adventure. Wherever they go we’ll follow!
7) Things are heatin’ up in the “DOJO” as DANIEL SON x CUNS team up with D.I.T.C’s own A.G. for a slick sizzler called “Wax On Wax Off!” The Brown Bag Money mic assassin posts up in a yacht as he laughs at all y’all tugboat punks still sittin’ at the dock of the bay! Cuns cruises thru colossal production while A.G. dumps your body in the river!!!
8) DJ MUGGS x FLEE LORD bust shots at the competition on the “RAMMELLZEE” heater “45 In My Pocket!” This joint is fueled with so much unbridled energy it’ll short circuit all the speakers in your neighborhood! When Muggs & Flee are in your town they don’t come to play. It’s serious business! Now sit down & take a listen!!!
9) “The Day Of Cygnus Has Come” and DNTE heralds its arrival with a DRKTHELEGEND powered banger called “Ice Wash Goose!” The lyrical marksman takes aim at the opposition and watches them fall prey to his savage wordplay in the booth! DrkTheLegend matches his bars with maximum heat on the boards! PRESS PLAY & join in on the wave of mass hysteria!!!
10) JAMAL GASOL x THATBLESSEDGIRL close out the countdown with “Flamboyant” “BlackBall” heat featuring ETO! The Dirty Waters mic warrior has crushed the hopes & dreams of many competitors & he’ll do it again with this MASSIVE banger laced by one of the underground’s most impressive production talents. Eto drops in to add supreme assistance before the TONEYBOI mixed track fades out early. Ya gotta give the fans what they want & always leave ’em begging for more!
