When ya tap in to this joint expect it to be blazin’ cause rockin’ wit’ Preme’s nothin’ short of amazing!!!
3) WATERR rhymes with the self-assurance of knowing he’s just delivered a classic. Which is the case with the VANDERSLICE produced mega opus “Life Is More Than White Bricks!” EVERYTHING on this platter is top tier…so after beatin’ down our fellow staffers we finally selected “Swim The Rubix Cube!” The master lyricist perfectly illustrates what his life was like BEFORE rap & how he’s going to use that hungry street mentality to take over the industry. You can see his ascent on the horizon. With Vanderslice on his side, how can he lose?!?
4) DANIEL SON, FUTUREWAVE & 36 CYPHER’s first track off “As The Crow Flies” is called “Limited Supply”, but this ultra-talented trifecta is packin’ an abundance of HEAT!!! Springboarding from an understated(yet eerily effective)arrangement, 36 Cypher & the Brown Bag Money Bar Murderer slaughter the soundscape & seize the day on this stunning underground triumph!
5) SLIK JACK x KNG BONDALERO conjure some next level, hardcore “Saturday Night Special” steez called “Neck Like Slick Ricks!” Flexin’ filthy ass bars over an arrangement that sounds like RZA & Pete Rock met at the intersection of Mantronik, Slik Jack puts his undeniable stamp down on the underground!!! GOTDAMN, this got us amped for the album! We’ll be countin’ the days ’til July 21st!!!
6) DZL1, BOBBY CRAVES, PARANORMAL, MATTY LITE & KEEF WOOKIE make sure that CERTAIN.ONES are the ONLY ones you’ll have on repeat this week as they hit ya wit’ insane heat called “Evolution Flip!!!” The most imaginative entities on the underground are back with a brilliant explosion of bars, beats, and cuts that’ll make you s**t on the throne of all those other rap idols and pledge your undying allegiance to the crew! It’s a startling development to think of but one that was destined to happen!
7) DJ PREMIER & JOEY BADA$$ are “Lettin’ Off Steam” with high-energy excitement & now fans the world over can rejoice!!! The Gang Starr production god brings the best out of any artist…and he definitely does so here by supplying the type of top tier track Joey should always be rhymin’ over. Get yourself in gear for action. Check out the stellar cut & celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop with the team!
8) You can’t keep a good mic beast down..so YOUR OLD DROOG crushes the competition on a monstrous MADLIB laced mega banger called “The Return Of Sasquatch!” Y.O.D. recalls the days when listeners thought he was posing as Nas & the blacklisting that resulted thereafter. But all those suckers who doubted now wanna book him at their shows. Droog laughs at all the haters who got stomped out in the process!
9) VIC SPENCER digs into his storytelling bag for a SMALL PROFESSOR powered “Mudslide” sizzler called “Disobey Your Thirst!” Over earth-shattering audio heat, The King Of Living relays a violent tale of guns & girls that draws ya in & completely captures your attention! We won’t spoil the ending…so tap in on your own for a track we’re sure would get high praise from Rick The Ruler!
10) bRAVENOUS x GHETTOSOCKS have a “Unique Formula” & their chemistry’s evident on a dope joint skillfully produced by UNCLE FESTER! This is the kind of track that smacks ya out your seat and drags you down 5 flights of stairs before blastin’ you thru the walls of your neighbor’s apartment! “Ghosts Of Rockingham Volume 2” is sure to be one helluva project! Can’t wait to see what else b & crew’s got cookin’!
