5) SUPREME CEREBRAL had hit after hit after hit on his King’s Throne 2″ collection…but since we had space for only one, top honors go to the JAMAL GASOL & NOWAAH THE FLOOD featured banger “Gorgeous Gangsters!” The hardcore heater(laced by Slide Beatz & showcasing dope cuts from Tone Spliff)flaunts exultant production that highlights the wildly diverse & inventive styles each emcee possesses. 6) If half of the world had to be wiped out of existence to make CA$ABLANCA’s “Infinity War” possible then hell, it was damn well worth it!!! The Cap Chino laced audio banger of armageddon is Cas’ best track to date because the production subconsciously transmits it’s own mythology & narrative onto the power spitter. The track forces listeners to envision the super lyricist as an all-knowing, all-powerful being who possesses the ability to manipulate & control every aspect of our lives. The idea might seem far-fetched until you hear how dope he is on the mic!
7) O THE GREAT, SHADOW MAGNETIC & ALPHABETIC return with new ALPHA MAGNETO magic on “Chapter Four!” The celestial rhyme slayers tear the roof off the entire muthaf**kin’ industry as they bring REAL HIP HOP to the forefront! If you run into the lyricist or rather, if the lyricist runs up on you, don’t panic! Just give him what he asks for & play his music LOUD!!!
9) CERTAIN.ONES rough up the competition with a CRAVES, DALI, SERGE, and SKLOBI featured audio assault called “Bully Pulpit!” The underground heroes drop lyrical jewels too abundant to be consumed in one sitting! But that’s fine because the collective’s entire catalog has built-in REPLAY value that can never be denied. This joint will get you hyped as you enter the matrix to uncover life’s illusions. One thing we know for certain is that this crew always drops dope material!
10) When HUS KINGPIN linked up with DJ CAESAR for the Dices produced “Wave Dreams” it brought tears of laughter streaming down our eyes! We were literally on the floor as Wavo provided the latest update to Biggie’s “Dreams(of f**kin’ an R & B bitch)which was recently co-opted by Nicki Minaj on her “Queen” album. #TheWinners powerhouse weaves Lil Kim, K. Michelle, Halle Berry, Rapsody, Erykah Badu, GxFR’s Keisha Plum, and Stacey Dash into his lasciviously hilarious web of lyrical madness. It’s only jokes people! Lord Wavy just tells ’em better than everyone else.
