Insomniac Magazine Hip Hop Top Ten 9/13/21

1) EVILLDEWER showers listeners with “ANOMIA” excellence featuring heavy hitters ROME STREETZ, CHRIS CRACK & ESTEE NACK! On “Espiritismo” the supreme spitters summon mystic forces from the Great Beyond & channel their energy into an arsenal of lyrical firepower! The ominous soundscape grows so increasingly eerie that it’s guaranteed to spew ectoplasm from your speakers. But for every sinister thing that goes bump in the night you’ll find three emcees with bars bold enough to battle them!!!

2) STARVIN B will never lead you wrong. So follow him on his latest adventure as he unveils “The Wiz!” With this “Get Well Soon” sizzler listeners are treated to dope bars, beats, and B’s badass attitude to boot! You wanted that hardcore steez an’ now ya got it in spades! This is that gutter s**t you’ve been cravin’ from Day One!!!

3) ZAZA GOD isn’t just effective. He’s “OMNI POTENT”…and the proof is right there in his new GHOST DAVE laced banger! “Bronx N Da House” is the ultimate tribute to the borough that birthed Hip Hop & a warning shot for the faint-hearted to stay away! It’s built on a solid foundation of raw rhymes, compelling production and the “Scenario’s” undeniable bassline. This track is pure heat and a definite win!

4) ABE LINX x TULLY C journeyed to the gravel pits of hell & got as grimy as ya could possibly get for their new mega banger “CHOLO!” We’re usually not the type to blame music for somebody’s actions but this joint would’ve made Mother Teresa bitch slap the Pope after a stroll through the Vatican!!! Don’t know about y’all but we already got the ski mask on. Go lock your door but we’ll be breaking in tonight!!!

5) ETO put forth his best “Efforts” and they paid off in dividends! SHARP. is the sonic architect for this underground odyssey that finds the New Crack Era capo delivering a cinematic tale of treachery in the hood. When it comes to detailing life on the block no one does it better. Listen to his phenomenal flow over SHARP’s supreme soundscape & you see why he’s got the streets on lock!

6) AZ, LIL WAYNE & CONWAY THE MACHINE perform “The Ritual” of droppin’ fly lyrical steez over dope production! For this sonic endeavor, ALCHEMIST is behind the boards steering the “Doe Or Die 2” vessel to the top of the charts! AZ hasn’t missed a beat since he ignited Nas’ classic “Life’s A Bitch” joint so many moons ago. Only a few MCs can keep up with his pace. Wayne & Conway are more than capable!

7) SLIK JACK, VIC MONROE, EL DA SENSEI, G FAM BLACK, PACEWON, and DON STREAT team up to take on a soul-fueled SQREEB crafted track & “6 Iz Enuff” to do major damage!!! The thing that makes this joint so dope is that it doesn’t sound like a cut and paste job composed of lackluster verses sent to the producer. You get the sense that the crew is having the time of their lives & that raw energy is in turn, transmitted to the listener! Each MC goes for theirs and scores big time! Ain’t a weak link in the bunch. These six spitters need to give their fans a sequel!

8) The “ANOMIA” excitement never ends which is why VIC SPENCER murders ’em on “KILL ZONE!” EVILLDEWER conjures another nightmarish arrangement that the opposition can’t escape from as The King of Living lingers in the darkness. When Vic finally appears he wreaks havoc on the set and leaves a blood trail of carnage in his wake!

9) WILDELUX & MACAPELLA’s “Hard Knocks” platter may very well turn out to be the sleeper hit of the season and one of the heralded cuts is “Life Imitating Art!” The exquisite, jazz-fueled arrangement focuses on manifesting reality through spoken word & in the case of too many MCs to count, the words being spoken are negative! Wildelux warns the fake gangstas & thug wannabes that there’s a karmic price to pay for spewing a sea of violent fantasies. You may gain more wealth than you ever imagined but you’ll always have a target on your back!

10) We’re leaving ya with one of the hardest joints of the week presented by ABYSS & BIG DESE!!! On the OBIEDAZ powered “Pest Control”(ft. Cuts by IMPROV THE SUPERVILLAIN), the mic beasts do the underground a major service by exterminating all the wack ass rappers who give Hip Hop a bad name! Ya want some raw ass, uncut, un-pc heat? Then don’t bother to look any further! It’s about to get mad disrespectful up in here…and we’re lovin’ every minute!!!

Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
