Insomniac Magazine is back with another exciting edition of our Weekly Top Ten! Sit back, relax, and check out the latest heat!
1) ALLAGRANDE takes over the #1 spot with a DANIEL SON featured banger called “Old Marauders!” The colossal “Ready To Kill” monster cut kicks into high gear at full force & possesses a thematic vibe that can’t be denied! When you hear the Brown Bag Money superstar shoot the gift you realize you’re experiencing a genius master craftsman at work. The REPLAY value on this joint is HEAVY. PRESS PLAY & dive into the action below!
2) FASTLIFE & BENNY THE BUTCHER batter an Observe laced soundscape into submission on the brand new heater “One Of Us!” The “Portrait Of A Savage” power cut ain’t for the faint of heart! This track is designed for the soldiers in the game who can & will do whatever it takes to come out on top! Tremble with terror & feel the wrath of the underground!
3) ZOOMO welcomed listeners to the “Dawn” with an ESTEE NACK & SADHUGOLD featured mastercut called “No Documents!” You have a legion of reasons to check out this track but one of the biggest draws is the fact that production powerhouse, sadhugold, switches gears to reign terror on the mic! We’ve already had a Golden Era so now it’s time for platinum progression as Zoomo, Nack, and sadhugold usher in a new wave!
4) ROME STREETZ & FARMA BEATS enlist DANIEL SON for a “Street Farmacy” power heater titled “Wickedest Ting!” The relentlessly raw soundscape is complemented with dope rhymes from two of the illest spitters in the game! Hear the drummer get wicked & check out the crew as they blow up the scene!
5) NEEK THE EXOTIC linked up with STOXX & brought that hardcore heat to the forefront on a funky joint called “Hell Up In Queens!” The legendary Q-Tip does the honors on production and GOTDAMN we’re feelin’ it!!! Neek, Stoxx, and Q-Tip bring the soul back to the music while showcasing that serious Queens flow. Stop everything else you’re doing & listen below!
6) ZOOMO cooked up yet another “Dawn” surprise by recruiting CRIMEAPPLE for a brief but beyond effective gem titled “Looklike.” The Manteca mic god continues his mastery over all things lyrical with more top of the line bars that make his competition weep. Then again, he has NO competition. But that’s another story for a different time. Right now you need to bounce to this funky gem. Str8 butter for y’all muthaf***as!
7) KNOWLEDGE THE PIRATE single handedly holds down the underground for New York City, Jersey City or ANY city for that matter. Yep, “Wrinkled Feathers” is that good! One listen to the hypnotically funky groove & Knowledge’s commanding flow lets you know that he means business! Heat like this can’t be contained! With “Flintlock” on the horizon we can only imagine what he’s got planned for us next. Stay on the sidewalk if you can’t handle the streets. Fans better brace themselves for impact!
8) For a project titled “Bad Decisions,” TERMANOLOGY sure made a good one by enlisting GXFR juggernaut CONWAY for an ill banger called “Termanator & The Machine!” With Daringer on deck for production, the lyrical titans do what they do best…which is rippin’ the mic to pieces! The unrepentant cyborgs of the underground can’t be stopped. Bow out gracefully or get crushed!!!
9) REKS x SHORTFYUZ come thru to deliver a first for our countdown in the form of a 2-in-1 track for “Planz/Bread & Roses!” Packaged together, they both equal an intense amount of heat that serves up a solid foundation for the forthcoming “Order In Chaos” project. Project’s probably not a good choice of words…we’d rather say EVENT. With REKS & Shortfyuz involved it’s bound to be something special!
10) BUDDY LEEZLE always delivers dope joints & his sadhugold powered track “Kahlo Meets Picasso” is no exception. The underrated super spitter flaunts his incredible flow over the production visionary’s wondrous soundscape with dexterity & a firm command of the mic. Listen to the surreal sounds of the underground & be on the lookout for “La Casa Azul!”
Well that’s it for this week. Catch ya next time and…DON’T SLEEP!
