Lou Brindell always serves up multi-textured and finely crafted Hop Hop with substance. His latest full-length creation, “We’re All Just Walking Each Other Home” keeps this tradition intact. The album is loaded with expertly crafted and delivered lyricism. The harmony-heavy and purposeful tracks are a welcome addition in an environment of homogeneous rapping and tired rap tropes.
Regarding the overall vibe for this release, Brindell explains, “This project was the result of a tumultuous year and a refreshment in perspective. A new appreciation for the simple things in life. Nothing really matters to me beyond my family’s health and happiness. In a genre that’s sometimes oversaturated by egomaniacs and self-absorption, I really tried to do something that was exactly the opposite. My most selfless and sonically cleanest project so far…”
Take some time and listen to authentic Hip Hop that takes you beyond the regularly treaded sounds and subject matter, and into an introspective and supremely poetic space. -Israel “IZ-REAL” Vasquetelle
