Alas, the highly anticipated “Heather Grey” project by Eto, Willie The Kid and V Don has arrived. When you see these 3 names combined, it’s something you can’t help but want to hear immediately. Mixed by D-Polo and MP Williams, this 6 track EP is packed with pure street bars over high quality production from start to finish. Ever since I first listened, I had to run each joint back multiple times because there was just so much heat. Each emcee has a distinct flow and delivery that compliments one another, while the beats are so intricately detailed without being all over the place.
I truly appreciate projects that I can play without wanting to skip any tracks and this is one of them. My top 3 favorites are “Bet I Live”, “Appalachian Meeting” and “Closed Ceremony”. Eto and Willie The Kid keep their lyrics raw, authentic and unapologetic. V Don steps out of the box as he’s known to do, experimenting with different styles and I loved the way the last 20-30 seconds of each song faded out.
