With all of the major roles cast(Dre, Ren, DJ Yella & Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr – portraying Cube himself), many wondered why Eazy E’s son, Lil’ Eazy E isn’t playing his father in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic. According to Ice Cube, he auditioned but failed to make the cut. That’s understandable considering that any new actor would have a tough time showing Eazy’s transition from vibrant rapper and dope dealer to a weakened Aids patient fighting for his life. Fortunately, there are no hard feelings. Lil’ Eazy E embraced Jason Mitchell(the actor portraying his father)for his dedication to the role and appreciates Cube for maintaining his father’s legacy. Finally, there’s happiness in the hood.
