Chi-town sound artisan Onaje Jordan and ATL production maestro Tone Beatz are getting ready to drop a collaborative album entitled “Alpha.” To get the collective auditory senses of the underground community primed, they’ve unleashed a double dose of Hip Hop goodness. On “Big Boy,” Onaje crafts a knocking joint featuring searing strings, slick cuts by Joe Mack and top tier spitting from Hometeam fam Charlie Chan and Southside Jonesy.
Up next is Tone Beatz’s fly sound platter “Powergun,” which features top tier rhyme flipping by Mrk Sx, G Fam Black and Wizisbeast. Regarding the collab with his fellow beat smith, Onaje shared, “it’s a mutual respect thing between us. Both of us are more on the silent tip and prefer to let our music do the talking. All of the emcees and DJ’s we used on this project are family to us so “Alpha” in essence is like one big family reunion.” There’s no doubt, with this type of talent, heads are going to keep their ears pealed for the full platter on October 29th.
