Mr. Reggie Ossé passed away today after fighting cancer. He was very public about his fight with the disease and remained positive in recent episodes of his hugely popular podcast The Combat Jack Show. Mr. Ossé was also an entertainment attorney who worked with some of Hip Hop music’s biggest years before starting his new career as a podcaster. Combat Jack, as he is known to the Hip Hop community, is also the co-founder of the Loud Speakers Network. As well, he developed and narrated the hugely successful podcast series Mogul: The Life and Death of Chris Lighty. In many ways, Combat helped usher in a new and powerful medium for the Hip Hop perspective with the significant platform he created on his influential program. Insomniac Magazine would like to offer our sincerest condolences to Mr. Ossé’s family and those who worked with him at The Combat Jack Show. Today, Hip Hop lost a powerful voice. Salute Combat!
