Houston’s 3Bubble & J. Gray join forces to drop a genre-bending project destined for greatness titled “Live From The Pentagon.” The artists seamlessly weave elements of hip hop, soul, EDM, pop & funk throughout each track and dial up the thrills with clever rhymes that never fail to excite.
“The Life” awakens our senses with a sample used by Digable Planets for their breakout hit, “Rebirth Of Slick”(Cool Like Dat), before transitioning into a joyous gospel/funk-laden chorus that pushes the energy through the roof! Next up is “Euros”(ft. Kelechi) which shines with a solid foundation of soul followed by the Taylor Rasberry & Seano Smith featured, “Betrayal,” that details how money reveals a man’s true motives. “Don’t Lie” keeps the party moving with its dancehall-meets-house slice of sonic action while “This One” is fueled by a sense of urgency conveyed by the track’s dramatic synthesized backdrop. “We Know”(ft. Lil Goddi)takes us into trap-inspired territory that’s enhanced by its catchy hook (“You like this!”) before “Get Up”(ft. Young B.E.) slows down the pace while promoting strength over adversity.
“Studio” is a stellar r & b gem that offers immaculate vocals and instrumentation. The time and passion the duo place into their craft is obvious from the end result. We believe every word! “Turn It Down” is another exceptional cut that delivers introspective lyrics(“one of my uncle’s on the booze again/My other uncle broke the rules again”). Don’t think that problems with friends & family will bring them down though…They’re feelin’ life! “Hands Up”(ft. DJ Baby Roo)presents an onslaught of high energy EDM activity before hitting listeners with the quiet storm stylings of “No Lie.” “Easy” is as uncomplicated as its title, ‘easily’ serving as an album standout for its infectiously silky vocals and casual musical arrangement while “What If I Told You”(ft. Lil Keke)rounds out the collection on an uptempo note of achieving one’s goals despite the odds.
3Bubble & J. Gray are transmitting new waves of sound and energy “Live From The Pentagon.” Contact has been made and the lines of communication are open. Quality music like this lasts a lifetime. We receive the signal loud and clear!
