Review: Devin James Fry – “Purple Glue” b/w “No Hope”(ft. Otem Rellik, Nat Tate) – Singles

Devin James Fry tosses elements of electronica, pop, and hip hop into one psychedelic stew & stirs up a storm of sizzling selections for the listeners. On “Purple Glue,” the Denver-based musician begins his descent into madness by riding a haunting rhythm into the fiery depths of hell. The only component keeping his mind from fracturing is a lavender colored adhesive of unknown origin. As Devin struggles to maintain his sanity the edges of reality begin to fray. Will his brain survive the trauma? That still remains to be seen.

The Otem Rellik & Nat Tate featured gem “No Hope” finds the artist revitalized while reminiscing over the pitfalls that ultimately led to his ascent. It’s extremely apparent that the track’s brooding nature belies the unstoppable power of the spirited warrior who dwells within. “Sometimes beauty peaks in the valley of a graceful defeat.” The “Retrellion” rebel enters the arena with 2 colossal cuts that prove he’s more than worthy!
