Vancouver, Canada music visionary Dr. BENTZ merges elements of Hip Hop, EDM, and pop into an infectious self-produced single titled “Risin’ Up.” Although the relentlessly driven renaissance man leads a successful career as a practitioner of naturopathic medicine, it’s abundantly clear he also has what it takes to rock the clubs! The ascending artist kicks things into high gear by employing an exuberant delivery that meshes perfectly with his vibrant synth-laden sonic landscape. Instead of constructing complicated lyrics & arrangements, Dr. BENTZ keeps things simple for maximum mainstream appeal.
In stark contrast to many of BENTZ’s musical peers, the artist keeps his subject matter firmly focused on the positive end of the spectrum. “Ain’t nobody gonna hold me down” is a line often repeated within the framework of the song & it also serves as a mantra we should all follow. For future productions, Dr. BENTZ will hopefully stretch his wings & take more creative risks. But as an introduction to the world at large, “Risin’ Up” is definitely worth the effort.
