Oakland’s Luckyiam of Living Legends & multi-talented rapper/singer, Lana Shea, merge their talents with EDM production trio, Kill The Computer, to deliver a futuristic gumbo stew of beats & rhymes for the masses. The 13 track collection titled “Go” serves up a bold & daring “F**k You” to casual listeners who don’t recognize & appreciate their creative vision.

The title track, “Vision,” and “Team” get the party started with hyped up rhythms & syncopated drum patterns while “Bruh” slows things down to give Luck & Lana “spitting room” on a sinister track that closes out with spectacular cuts & scratches on the 1 & 2’s. “Keys” eases in with a slinky groove & more fantastic wordplay from Luck, as Lana provides a catchy hook to keep things rolling. “BWOMP” gives the emcees something funky to bounce to as their rhymes effortlessly cascade around the track and “Type” brings in underground heavy-hitters Chino XL & Ras Kass for a master class in lyricism. “Energy” is just that…a high-powered cut with no signs of ever slowing down while “B!tcht!me” and “Connected” provide mega showcases for Kill The Computer to shine.

“Beyond” kicks into gear with winning turns from 2 more legends in the game, Aesop Rock & Del The Funky Homosapien, while “Festie” supplies a slow flow groove and amazing vocal performance from Lana. “Circles” wraps up the proceedings nicely with mellow instrumentation that culminates in a clever reversal of the track. Hey, it all comes back around! “Go” provides a pleasant respite from the glut of by-the-numbers material we’re force-fed on the radio. Forward thinking listeners will appreciate a top shelf effort from artists unafraid to push the boundaries of creativity.
