A new biopic titled “Roxanne Roxanne” that revolves around the life & career of pioneering female emcee, Roxanne Shante, has been selected into the 2017 Sundance Film Festival competition. This is a bright sign of things to come for the Michael Larnell directed film that lists actor Forest Whitaker among its producers. The Roxanne Wars was a pivotal moment in Hip Hop history, so we’re looking forward to it’s imminent release.
